Icon will remain in URL bar i think unless you make changes in registry.

For me even option not appearing now..
Strange.

Opera VPN is good tool, but unfortunately while using VPN pages load quite slowly.

There are few options "Close Tab to Right". But "Close other Tab" will work for you.
