Idk for how long i've been bothered by this by now, at least half a year, maybe even over a year. In Opera on Android you can't click anything at the top of the website when the adress bar is showing and it's being very annoying on a daily basis.
Even right now when i was to login to the Opera forums on my phone it was being annoying. I googled "opera forum", clicked the link, tried clicking the login button, nothing happens, click again, nothing happens, so i have to keep pressing lower and lower on the screen to the point where i'm almost pressing below the login button before it registers it. This happens every time when i try to click something at the top of the screen like site logo, login button, profile, or notification buttons. Simply nothing happens when you press at the top of the screen so you have to keep pressing further and further down until you're below the dead zone. Or first zoom in more on the page, or very gently hide the adress bar to avoid accidentally scrolling down at the same time.
It just makes no sense that there's a dead zone at the top where you can't click on anything and i'm sick of it, it's been like this for a very long time now and idk how it's not fixed yet

Yea I've tried a bunch of different video streaming sites now and it definitely seems fixed after disabling the "Out-of-process SW H.264 decoding" flag -

@senpaiuwwu
I tried that before and it didn't fix it. I did try enabling it again now just to try though and at least it fixed the browser in general being a bit slow and laggy, but video was still choppy and unwatchable on most sites except YoutubeSo i opened flags and did ctrl-F and searched for stuff like video, hardware, 264 and such and i tried disabling/enabling a bunch of different flags one by one.
And i think i just managed to solve it by disabling the flag called "Out-of-process SW H.264 decoding" -

So how does this help me?And why is only Opera broken, why does every other browser still work? Is Opera going to fix this as obviously video playback isn't broken on other browsers? Or are they just gonna blame it on Intel or something?

I have the same issue since installing 103 on my laptop with 3630QM and GT 650m
Is there any way for me to fix this?
Will Opera fix this with an update? -
RE: Close browser when last tab was closedOpera for Windows
@lenn1 You can disable that inexplicably dumb startup thing that probably no one wants in opera:flags
Search for "Opera One introduction"I agree that there should be the option to always close the window when closing the last tab, it's literally standard browser behavior. The only reason to not at least have that as an option/setting somewhere if you're gonna insist on not closing the browser by default is petty stubbornness.

RE: Close browser when last tab was closedOpera for Windows
@burnout426 Yea i have two permanent windows with a combined 80ish tabs on my desktop and a permanent window with 50ish tabs on my laptop that i never close. So i don't really care about the behavior of closing the last tab on the last window because that's a scenario that i'm never even in anyways.
But i often open an/a few additional temporary windows and or incognito windows, and I've always just closed them by getting rid of the tabs. But for the last few days that wasn't working on my desktop and it's been really annoying.
After i posted my first message here i checked opera:about on both my desktop and laptop and noticed that my laptop was on v101 (working) and my desktop on v102 (not working), and then when i got back to my desktop from checking the laptop, the desktop had downloaded v103. So i clicked install and then it was back to working like normal againBtw why has mouse gestures been absolute trash for probably like 2+ years now?
I've been using Operas mouse gestures back since Presto and then i really missed them when Opera switched to Chromium, but then luckily they were added back after a while and I've been using them again ever since. But for a very long time now, probably at least 2-3 years, they've not been working properly. Very often it's like Opera thinks i let go of right mouse key before i do so it performs another action than the gesture i intended to make. And also sometimes after i make a gesture and release right mouse key it just opens the right click menu instead of performing the mouse gesture action as if all i did was a normal right click -
RE: Close browser when last tab was closedOpera for Windows
@leocg idk why my other post would need approval to be posted lol but anyways i don't care anymore
Opera on my laptop is on v101 and it's working like always there, my desktop was on v102 and wouldn't close the window when closing the last tab. I went to opera:about to check what versions my laptop and desktop were on and then Opera on my desktop automatically downloaded v103 and now the window closes when i close the last tab again just like it should so yea my problem is solved -
RE: Close browser when last tab was closedOpera for Windows
@leocg What do you mean never had such behavior? That's how it's been for years or even always. Only since the last few days when my Opera updated to this "Opera One" thing has it started to automatically open a new tab when i try closing the last one and it is very annoying. If the window only has one tab and i click on the X or ctrl-w the whole browser window should close, like IT ALWAYS HAS, but now it's suddenly not which is the sole reason i'm now here on the forum
