@alexbcrow7 I did try the .deb. It installed, but kept bombing out for various reasons - such as trying to hide the side-bar, etc.

@leocg It happens also in Chrome and even Firefox. It also behaves the same on Windows and Linux, but for some reasons works on Mac. I really do not get why... The reason I posted the question here was my hope to disable the search from address bar specifically in Opera, because I could not do it in Chrome. But now I seems to be totally screwed...
