However, it really shouldn't be hidden in the Developer settings. It should be in the context menu for easy access, in my opinion.
@PeterBurton Okay I feel kind of stupid that I was able to overlook that lol. Thank you.
Never realised how much I used this feature in Google Chrome until I couldn't use it here. With Google Chrome's built-in task manager, I could monitor which extensions and tabs were using the most resources (CPU, RAM, Bandwidth). But I don't get that luxury anymore with Opera. I didn't see an alternative for one on the Google Chrome Webstore so I would like to highly advise adding it to Opera GX in the future, please.
Live stream chat reply doesn't work, it just appears blank. I'm using the web version mode.
I've seen people asking for a bandwidth limiter, but I didn't actually think we'll get it so soon! And while, I don't really have much use for it myself (at least not yet), it's great to see Opera adding requested features for fans!
The most beneficial one is probably the Release Calendar which I didn't even realise I needed. I usually put game releases in my google calendar but not only does this make me not have to do that anymore, but I can see the release dates of games that weren't even on my radar. Notifications would make it all the more perfect.
I've switched from Chrome since discovering GX and it's good I can talk about more features for a future review I plan to make.
@leocg Oh wow, I didn't know you could do that! Thanks a bunch!
And it shows in the Speed Dial!!
I would also love this as well. I used FVD Speed Dial every day in Google Chrome. Opera doesn't need to mimic every feature of FVD, but at least give a bit more customisable features. The auto-generated text logos are really an eyesore, as a gaming browser, aesthetics matter a great deal.
I know this thread is quite old, but if you're still interested in a way to suspend tabs, then The Great Suspender is great for that. I've used it and it does pretty much everything you're asking for there. Granted, you'll also need to install the 'Install Chrome Extensions' add-on.
There was apparently an update on August 7th 2019 where a "Scores on game deals" feature was added to version LVL1 (core: 62.0.3331.117), but it doesn't seem to be present in my GX Corner.
As you can see in the image the developer posted, it doesn't represent the GX Corner I have at all.
Is something wrong with my browser or something? Or was it actually never implemented?
My Opera GX Version:
This is a pretty big issue for me as someone who transitioned from Google Chrome to Opera GX. I can't move tabs around like I used, and if I try, it'll only move one tab at a time if I'm using more than one window Instead I have to save the tabs, close the window and reopen them in the window I want to use them in.
It's a mega pain in the butt.
+1 for Steam in the sidebar. It's pretty much a must-have if Opera GX is a "gaming browser".
While it's not as robust as it could be, there is an unofficial YouTube sidebar extension for Opera. I do recommend disabling the mobile view in its options though, as YouTube mobile is a bit of nuisance.
I already spoke about Discord in another thread.
I was actually looking for a Discord extension for the Opera sidebar and was pretty surprised when I realised that Opera GX didn't have it.
But I do understand that out of all the messaging apps I've seen, Discord has to be the most resource-heavy with how many features and things it runs all at once, compared to more medium-weight messengers like Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp.
I wouldn't be surprised if users got constant crashes with Opera GX if someone decided to implement it, especially with how many times I've noticed Opera GX crashing when I have an excessive amount of tabs opened.
While I would still love for them to add or attempt it, I wouldn't be surprised if they find it to be more trouble than it's worth. ╮( ̄~ ̄)╭
I actually don't hear the typing sounds at all and I'm not sure why 「(゚ペ) It's clearly ON in the browser settings, but I don't hear it at all when I type in the address bar.
But while that's the case, I'm a writer and lover of typewriter sounds when I type so I use Qwertick for that. It's absolutely perfect and super light. It's about as minimalist as you can get for a program.
@leocg How does one do that in Opera GX? 「(゚ペ)
I'm here to request Mixer sidebar integration as well, please, especially with it gaining popularity as being the best Twitch alternative.
I had a gaming mouse that did that with rainbow colours! I would adore it if the GX browser had that!
