@gustavomolina Yes interns were involved. They escaped from a looney bin and were hired by Opera's equally looney management. In truth, Opera is now owned by the Chinese. Go figure.

@alegzandriia See if your browser has an ad blocker installed. The name Ad Blocker is a trade name for a blocker product that youtube wants to by-pass. My browser, Avast Secure, has a scale of blocking from basic to a high level that is sometimes too much. Before Avast, I had Opera but its 'upgrades' are a mess but the blocker worked. Give Avast Secure a try. They will want you to upgrade but I see no reason to do so. Keep trying, I haven't seen an ad, so these other blockers do work!

The circus act that has become Opera should disband. Go back to the last working, effective, intuitive version and work on the next 'version' when you clowns get it together. Whatever Opera pays their 'developers' is way too much for such mind-boggling incompetence. Take some winos out of the back alleys and give them a crack at a new version.

@raphaelbm Thanks for the info. I will still sit on the sidelines until Opera gets it together, if ever.

@xb70 I haven't used Opera for several weeks. Has the browser gotten over the issues of 100? If Opera can get it's act together, I'll go back but not until they get things straighten out.

@celticcross I've read that Firefox is heading for the last round-up. I used it years ago and liked it. You seem to know your browsers but what can we do? A few months ago Yahoo Finance changed their look and the users were outraged. It was a dreadful mess that was approved by the higher or is it lower-ups. Yahoo quickly went back to the former format. Yahoo listened to their viewers. Why does Opera still continue their stubborn refusal to appease their viewers? Any way I am pleased with Avast but I do long for the earlier days of browsing, simple and responsive.

@celticcross I tried Vivaldi and found it difficult with the settings. Now, I use Avast Secure Browser. I am happy. I do hope Opera gets it together but I won't go back to them.

@damacan It's becoming a nuisance. How does one disable the splash screen?

@honeybadger56 You have to wonder who's in charge at Opera? Does management use Opera as their browser?

RE: Introducing Opera 102Blogs
@stolis Why does Opera refuse to allow a cancel updates option? This will turn away current Opera users. The field is loaded with other browsers. One would think Opera was aware of the competition and work with its users.

@honeybadger56 Careful with Firefox. Rumor has it that it won't be around much longer unless it is picked up by another internet hopeful.

RE: Do We Have to Install Opera OneOpera for Windows
@blackbird71 Supporting older versions of any browser would be a daunting task, yet, why change the "look" to an extent that it is cumbersome? Designers often feel compelled to alter a previous browser's style just to show others, i.e. management, that they are doing something to justify their salary. Coding isn't readily apparent, so they change the appearance so all can see their 'handicraft', much to the dismay of those long-time followers of said browsers.

RE: Do We Have to Install Opera OneOpera for Windows
I have continually installed the previous version of Opera and it looked good. However, whenever I would open Opera the new version would install itself over the previous version. I went to Task Scheduler and deleted the Opera update task but the new version would remain. I've done this numerous times but Opera continued to force the new version on my computer. I've given up. After many years with Opera. I must say farewell. I am going to a new browser and get the look and convenience I want. Bye-Bye.
