RE: Two alternative browsers that will continue support for NPAPI pluginsLounge
-P.S. I was recommending these two browsers to be used in conjunction of Opera so you are able to view certain content that your work environment calls for. I also want to note that they both have a portable version available for use.

RE: Why do we use Opera?Lounge
Well I guess if we gain one, we loose one. Meaning the new Opera has lot's of speed and better compatibility with websites, but at the same time functionality was lost for this to be achieved. But than again their is becoming an increase add-ons/extensions that bring back this unique and useful functionality. Such as Tab Sidebar, Simple Notes and Classic Tabs.
Though what I also can't understand is why didn't they keep it all and do what Vivaldi has done? I mean they say these were rarely used features and were the cause of a lot of slowdowns in Presto, but yet Vivaldi has perfected it?
But anyways, I'm still stinking with Opera because it's lighter than Chrome on system resources and supports a good amount add-ons/extensions. Who knows, maybe they'll bring one or two of the old functionality back.
-P.S. I test browsers out for the fun of it and Pale Moon has become my #1 favorite follow closed by Opera, actually to say they are both equal in my book.

Two alternative browsers that will continue support for NPAPI pluginsLounge
This isn't SPAM, please read:
Hey there. I'm Opera user, well to be exact, I test all sorts of browsers. I do this because I'm trying to find the perfect browser, but as you know, there is no such thing (Opera and Pale Moon are my favorites).
Anyways I'll get to the point.
So, I've actually known about this transition (removal of NPAPI plugins) that Opera will soon make for about a good year and so I have been planning for this as I use plugins in my work environment. Now what I have found are two browsers that will continue support for the NPAPI plugins, they are Slimjet (based-off Chromium v44 that integrates an adblcoker, social media buttons, turbocharged download manager all with improved security/privacy settings) and Pale Moon (an Open Source web browser forked-off from the Firefox/Mozilla code without the Australis design). I've have personally used these and so I can vouch for their authenticity, especially for Pale Moon as I've interactive with their users and I do quite a bit of helping on their forums. And Slimjet I've read a couple threads of their forums and it states from a user, "SJ is currently on v44 and will stay on v44 until the devs have got everything working and ready for a newer version..... the devs are trying to keep NPAPI plugins (i.e. bypassing the Chrome restriction).......," and so I'm pretty sure they'll work it out.
Alright, this about raps it's up. Now please don't take this as spam or anything else, I'm just a user that wishes to help out other fellow users that are in the same boat I'm in.

RE: Will the future Opera's support NPAPI plugins??Future releases
Alright, so how long until NPAPI is totally cut out of Opera?? @gustavwiz, yes they can be replace, but website's that uses these technologies are going to take their time transitioning or going to have a hard time with it. Well since our educators/administrators are under pay or pay our staff not so well, we basically get the short end of the stick with anything new/different. It sucks!

Will the future Opera's support NPAPI plugins??Future releases
Hi everyone!! I'm new to these forums!
Ok so I looked everywhere to see if this has already been answer and it's a no. Alright, I got one thing I need to know badly, will Opera still support NPAPI plugins!??? You know considering Opera is based off chrome/chromium; blink engine maybe? Why I need to know, well because I'm a tutor/TA at a school that still uses/needs those certain plugins in order for our educational sites to function properly. Plus not to mention a lot games depend on these (Unity Web Player for example) and course lot's of gamers will be very disappointed/enraged. And if you do decide to roll with Chrome/Google's idea (deprecate NPAPI plug-ins and eventually eliminate support), could you please implement an option to enable it, for us users who need it to operate. And if you must give a WARNING pop-up for our approval to run these so called "risky plugins," as Chrome/Google plans to do for the most essential and popular plugins (Java, Silverlight, Flash Player ESR), ok then, I'll do it.
-No harm meant and I'll appreciate any feedback, thanks!
