Recently I started a topic in this forum about this problem: zero reactions.
In the meantime I found out:
If you choose German (Germany) and French (France): no spell check possible. Grey does not move to blue.
But with German (German) and French (French) it works.
In Settings I have four languages. German and French are not working (greyed out).
How can I solve this?

To be honest:
The main and only reason I went back from Opera to Firefox, is this search engine issue.
This, and the fact that this forum does not send notifications per e-mail, explains why I see the replies only now.

In the beginning of this topic, zalex108 presented a “workaround”.
I tried and tried, but it doesn’t work for me.
Should it still be working? (I might be doing something wrong).
Since a rather long time I use the Feedbro extension in several browsers. This means exporting end importing feeds now and then. (OPML-files).
Opera does not import or export these files in a correct way: half of the feeds are missing.
In every other browser it works OK. This Opera problem started recently.
Can anyone explain this, please?

In my menu I can easily set Bing as default search engine. (Which I won't do).

Just make a bookmark for your favourite search engine, because all the Opera search engines are unattractive.
Your own search engine also works by typing the given letter code in the address bar first, but that is also unattractive,

I visited the "real" KissAnime website with the Opera adblocker on: 21 adds blocked.
Then I switched off the Opera adblocker: video works OK.
Yes, the adblocker symbol is only visible if the adblocker is switched on in Setttings.
In your screenshot I see a "strange" triangle next to the Bookmarks heart.
Is your adblocker switched on in Settings?

Like many times before in my computer history, the following thing happens:
-A small problem annoys me since many days.
-In the end I post the problem on a computer forum.
-And then the problem suddenly seems to have disappeared.
So now I will wait if the problem comes back. I know what to do in that case.
It’s strange but true.
Go to Program Files>Opera.
Remove the folder(s) with the oldest version number and also the folder “old_status”.
Solved!
