I now have many bookmarks now. Just realize there is no search function

I use new Opera sometimes (developer so I can have white icon to easily differentiate the two in my windows taskbar)
One thing that drives me crazy is to have the sidebar on the left. If the developers are reading could we have an option please... I know that convention has it that menu go on the left because we read from left to right or something like that. Just asking politely. Thanks

Hmm, this is weird. I am not sure if its html5 or flash because formerly I used to be able to click on settings or right click and get some clue something about flash or html5 player, Now there is no such thing. So I am not sure

Yes, I am still using old opera and it is working pretty good for most sites. Some bank sites and such don't work or I get unsupported browser messages. Anyway,I think I erased a user javascript I used to have and now my embedded videos just show a black space and also the comments just spin and never load. Any advice?

What happened to the up/down arrows that appeared when you swiped up/down.They were handy for quickly moving to top/bottom of page.

I noticed that too. I can't imagine why they would take that away, at least they could leave it as an option. It seems they spend all their time on useless stuff rounding corners and cute icons etc.

Really Now. I just downloaded opera beta. I don't understand what opera is doing. My advice is to go back to the old classic layout that was discontinued, add the ad-blocking and you are done.

Edit: And add something useful like a scroll bar instead of playing around with barely visible icons and the like.

Thanks guys, I got them back. I went into preferences editor and typed in favicon. Turns out it had the option to load embedded favicons only selected. I changed it to the default which is always load favicons.

Give us a safe example, we can look into it. Otherwise we're guessing - which I'm usually quite good at, but in this case I need more to go on. Could perhaps be that the favicon is in an unsupported image format.

Amazon and ebay. My computer had locked up once and I restarted it with the power button. When it rebooted everything was weird, like all my programs forgot their settings, including opera. I hadn't gotten around to the task of setting it up how I wanted it for a few days, and I restarted it for some reason and all of a sudden everything was back to normal except my bookmarks bar had just stars where icons should be. So I tried to refresh them, some came back like all the Google stuff and some others, but not amazon and ebay.

Before the incident I had noticed that ebay was showing the generic icon in the tab bar but the bookmark bar was good, maybe because I had not changed it in a long time. Thanks for trying to help

Some websites the icon (favicon) won't show up, just the generic icon. I tried reloading from Internet (Control+F5) restarting the browser etc. Any ideas what is going on and how to fix this? Thanks.

If you hold down Shift while doing the action to open the image, it will open in a new tab. There are other ways too.

Yes, it gets bogged down quite badly sometimes. Takes forever loading javascripts; what I have done is to install a javascript toggle button. When a page is bogged down I hit the button and it loads up just fine and can scroll again. Or just have js off as your default setting and toggle it on as needed. Surprisingly many sites work good without it

I wish opera would have pity on us and give us one last update to fix the issue. I have tried the other ones like vivaldi and otter browsers that aim to mimic opera but its just not the same
