it would be really awesome to change the default search engine pemanently, because not everyone is happy with google I guess

How to change the default search engine? After restart it is always Google.

To add a bookmark on Android you have to click "+" on the left side of your url-bar. Then choose target folder or something else, e.g. "Speed Dial" or for offline use.

Go to settings an there should be a button which says e.g. "Sign in to Opera". Later on, your bookmarks should sync.
