RE: What is the Passphrase ? How to get it without deleting dataSynchronization
The passphrase is the password used for sync, not the one you use to sign in to Opera. Though I am not a hardcore Opera user, I believe opera would allow any user that remembers their password to get the passphrase. Here’s something that I found on the web.
In your computer's Opera browser:
- Go to Settings.
- Click Advanced in the left sidebar, and click Privacy & security.
- Under Autofill, click Passwords.
I hope it helps!
RE: Why can't Opera be a secure browser for payments?Lounge
For as long as I know, Opera is a secure browser to manage payments. There may be some support issues that you might be encountering. Besides, it can be an issue with your specific version of the browser. You can ask any friend near you to help you check with it if they could handle payments with Opera. Otherwise, you have to switch to some other payment mode or app.
I believe, if users are facing such issues, Opera really needs some serious check on quality assurance. Rest, let me know if making updates or changing device help you process payments.
RE: Is opera gx safe to sign in with google?Opera GX
Of course, it is safe. Until you are not using it on a system that is outdated.
Whether it is your mobile device or your PC, if you are using a system that is outdated, it has very fair chances of facing malware injection or some other type of online attack.
RE: Opera mini vs OperaLounge
Opera mini in comparison to opera has limited functionalities as it is made for devices that have limiting system configurations. Opera on the other hand is a full-fledged browser that can be run on all advanced devices such as systems, Laptops, Tablets, and smartphones.
Rest it is entirely the choice of the users that if they need to use opera or opera mini. Therefore, if it is concerned with a smoother user experience, it is very likely that the device used by your friend prevented them to enjoy the browsing since every opera software is only launched after achieving all the benchmarks of quality assurance.
RE: Opera Browser is owned by a Chinese companyLounge
As per the information available on the web, Opera is a Norwegian technology brand, established back in 1995 in Oslo, Norway. The brand is not Chinese and specializes in web browsers, Fintech products, YoYo Games, etc.
However, Opera browser is presently owned by a Chinese consortium but originally it is a European company.
I would love to have more insights on this, just in case, I have incorrect information.
RE: What makes Opera better than others?Lounge
I think Opera has its own audience, just like people have a psychology that pushes them towards using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Maybe it is the difference between the layout that captures the attention of the users. Some people like it all on their screen while some prefer a clean browsing experience with just a search tab on the front.
I think that’s what all is making all the difference.
What are the few factors that according to experts must be kept in mind while working on cross-browser testing?Opera add-ons
Do we need to check it for all the browsers available in the market? Or is there any way to shorten this process and make a website or application that works well across all the browsers?
RE: Can't login due to server temporarily downOpera for Android
Most of the time, these server issues happen due to improper testing is done or when updates are made to existing applications such as the use of extensions that are rapidly launched without proper testing.
Also, it is likely that the browser’s latest version is not tested for its compatibility with your operating system.
Try logging in using some other network or device to check.
