Will subscribe to the thread. My situation isn't too drastic, but still I got a few hours of accurate bookmark sorting rollbacked.

1. Sorted bookmarks, deleted bookmarks, renamed folders.
2. Noticed synchronization turned off
3. Turned on synchronization
4. Instead of saving the current changes, it downloaded the version from the past - bookmarks moved back and folders renamed themselvees back too. Funny enough - newly created folders were emptied, but not deleted (and some got renamed to generic folder names)

Why the synchronization work like that (overrides new changes with old data) and doesn't check for what version is actually newer? It could also ask the user what version he wants to keep (like Microsoft OneNote does when facing conflicts). Or it could provide an option to roll back the last sync.

For sure it's a considerable amount of users but still a very low percentage of Opera users. Even though, developers are taking that very low percentage of users into consideration.

Probably, that other, big percentage of users don't use\don't know about this forum. Or are lazy. I am here because i really wanted to report a few things and was quite dedicated back then

I mean, if people don't complain - it doesn't mean they auto-approve those changes

I was using this thing for years, reinstalled windows and now it is missing. Helpful "flag" option is missing too. I don't know why i would ever use the "search tab" option, this is a major step back indeed...

Situation:
I visit an interesting site and want to add it to my express panel.
I press "add to bookmarks" button (or "heart button") and than choose Express panel. Ok. It works.

BUT it adds bookmarks on top of the express panel. This way whole panel gets shifted and i can't find bookmarks on their previous places anymore. That is quite stupid and uncomfortable. And obviously is a problem, for those who love to fill their express panel.

SOLUTION:
Add new bookmarks at the bottom of the express panel, as the "plus" button does. That way the most often used (and most important) tabs will remain on top of panel and also panel won't be shifted every single time a person desides to add a bookmark.
For those, who like current style (such people exist?) can be added button in settings.

25 октября 2016 года - теперь с этой бедой столкнулся я.
Но повезло, мои закладки пока еще есть на компе.
Вопрос: ПОЧЕМУ ЭТО НЕ ФИКСЯТ? Нужно как минимум 100% создать предупреждение о чертовой парольной фразе! У меня оч старый аккаунт и я почти никогда не пользовался синхронизацией (пару раз было на памяти вроде и не треболась эта фраза точно!). Я так понял что новые аккаунты с такой проблемой не сталкиваются (судя по комментам выше, но хз). Но старые то!
Создайте предупреждение про парольную фразу в пункте синхронизации! Ну в самом деле. Если сложно пофиксить ТО ХОТЬ ПРЕДУПРЕДИТЕ. И всё, будет небольшая морока, но данные будут целыми, и это главное. А так, если бы у меня сейчас сломался жесткий диск или типа того (а это вполне возможно), то я бы, гм, мягко говоря очень расстроился. И забил бы на оперу
operasilver40, если вы главный помощник на сем форуме, неужели вы не можете передать разработчику информацию про эту беду? Потеря данных может обернуться реальным кошмаром. И, как говорилось выше, левым людям мои закладки до задницы, а вот для меня они сокровище!
