This is fascinating, Microsoft Edge, based on Chromium, just like Opera, doesn't have this annoyance. I have been having a lot of fun griping, this is my latest exchange:
""Hello,
Please FIX! your browser preference. Chrome and Firefox are always trailing technology to block trackers. Even allowing ads and trackers on my Opera Version:87.0.4390.45 I get your "old browser" splash screen. Even using a VPN, no success.
Maybe You are using outdated Apache or some IE based server, but please update on your end, privacy can be plundered if you stick to Chrome.
Opera is built with Chromium as is Microsoft Edge. I can access past the log-in without the "old browser" advisory with Microsoft Edge but still get the old browser advisory with Opera.
"Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/101.0.4951.67 Safari/537.36 OPR/87.0.4390.45"

Any ideas why? This has been going on for years, even got some response once to clear cookies and Opera would work fine.
Thanks,
