I like having the VPN on. However, some websites will not work with the VPN activated. Is there a way to keep the VPN on but have it automatically disable when I go on certain websites? It is annoying to having to switch the VPN on and off, and I usually forget to turn it back on right away after turning it off.

RE: Certain Videos Do Not PlayOpera for Windows
I did not find a workaround. I ended up receiving a new computer and now the videos work.

RE: Certain Videos Do Not PlayOpera for Windows
Then, has worked at some point??
No. I am long-time Opera Mobile user since my Windows 5 phone, and I decided to give Opera on my laptop a try I think in about the last 1½ years or so. I enjoy the browser, but always had this problem with it. I tried Opera Beta through a few versions as well, and then when I realized that wasn't going to work, I went back to using standard Opera.
Just curious: What is different in Chrome that makes the videos work?

RE: Certain Videos Do Not PlayOpera for Windows
Knowing that it does not work without the codecs, is there a way I can fix the problem in Opera?
Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible.
Opera depends on the OS to play some proprietary codecs so if the OS can't play them so can't Opera. That's too bad. I appreciate you and everyone else that helped me troubleshoot. I guess I will have to open Chrome when I want to watch one of those videos.

To check this would I uninstall K-Lite and then try to play the video you kindly downloaded and linked with Windows Media Player?
You need to make sure that all codecs are removed.
You are on to something! I uninstalled K-Lite Codec Pack and Windows Media Player will no longer play the video.

Yes. I have K-Lite Codec Pack.
You need to check if your system is able to play h264 videos natively. If it's not then Opera can't play those videos also.

Try to disconnect :
opera://flags/?search=media-windows-mf-demuxer
Restart OperaI disabled it an restarted but still had the problem.
I realized this did change the MSN videos. It played the audio of the video, so that is a start! The video screen just showed the video preview the entire time.

Yes. I played it first in Windows Media Player, and it worked fine. I also have VLC and Media Player Classic, and it worked on those as well.
Did you ever installed any codec pack in your OS?
Yes. I have K-Lite Codec Pack.
