Are you saying anything with a Chromium base will act up when uninstalled and the reinstalled? I guess I never tried to uninstall and reinstall Chrome so idk.

Finally had to uninstall Opera yesterday for good. It keeps opening multiple instances of itself on my personal desktop. These can only be seen in task manager but they were slowing my PC. Thus the reason I checked the task manager. Also, I had an uninstall and reinstall Opera a month ago. Before if I opened Opera the system tray icon would become the current Opera. After reinstall the system tray icon used to launch Opera stayed put and another instance of Opera would be my main instance. So I had two system tray icons of Opera. But still it did not malfunction until yesterday where it would open up to six instances of itself. Those extra instances would not appear openly. I could only see them in my task manager.

I really hate how these forums negate paragraphs!

When I woke up this morning and opened my Opera browser there was a speed dial link to Target. I did not click it because I did not put it there. No one on this PC uses Opera except for me. I will ask the other people if they did it but it would be completely out of character for them to touch my PC let alone leave a Target link on my browser. I know you are all thinking that my house mates may have left me a speed dial link or that I sleep walk and did this to myself but I am telling you absolutely no way.

Question to community: has anyone else found a speed dial thumb and know you didn't put there?

Worrying about my PC having a virus tho scans are negative. I notice lately my addblocks are becoming less useful on Opera but are working great on Chrome/Firefox. I added a new addblock addon yesterday (AdBlock with the hand icon) to Opera in hopes that it would improve. But if these strange adds in my speed dial and on youtube and on websites keep showing in only Opera's browser I am afraid I will have to discontinue use of this browser.

One more thing to note that was weird. When I make a speeddial link it appears in the upper left corner. Then I move it where I want it. This unwanted speed link was in the lower right corner. That is not even the natural place for a speed dial link to go when a user applies it. If a person had done this it would have been in the upper right corner. And I am serious none of my house mates would come near my room let alone my pc let alone my browser. Something's amiss.

Well post formatting stinks and I cannot edit it. I guess paragraphs are not allowed, huh? That really just made my nice organized post looked screwy and now you think I did that retarded jumble. Grief.

It is not the same for all Youtube videos. Some will speed up just fine. But when I run into a vid that will not speed up I copy and paste url to Firefox and the vid then is able to speed up in the Firefox browser. So it is a problem with Opera.

I have working addons on Opera that will stop autoplay when you open up a video on Youtube and/or are directed to the next video in a playlist. They work excellent. What I have not found yet is an addon that will stop that little Channel video from autoplaying when I visit someone's Youtube channel. Anyone got this?

There are browser extensions for Firefox and Chrome to help search for more than one word on a page but I want to use Opera. I am getting tired of every time I want to do something unique like this I keep getting redirected to use Firefox or Chrome. Why can't Opera meet all my needs? It is a prettier browser and I would rather stay with Opera but this is getting frustrating never finding what I need in an extension.

My mouse wheel is borked and I have to use the scrollbar on every web page but it takes forever to find that thin line with my mouse. How can I make it thicker so it's easier to grab immediately? I have plenty of screen room as my monitor is twice as wide as it's height. I would like a nice big fat scrollbar please.

I do not want to copy and paste the video URL into VLC Player. I watch 24 tutorial series rotationally up to three times a day and all that copy and paste is so NO. Has anyone made an application that will boost Youtube volume for those of us who have to wear headphones?

On the surface Gravatar looks like it would save you time and effort but I've spent more time trying to figure out how work this WordPress Gravatar than if Opera Forums just had a simple apply your own pic avatar image inserter.

I am using Opera Version 38.0.2220.41. It is July 2016. Here - chrome://themes - there is an option to Create Your Own Theme. I need to know what is the best size so my picture appears complete. It is getting cut off. My screen res is 1920 x 1080 but sizing the picture to 1920 x 1080 does not work. What size do I make my picture so it fits perfectly?

I am new to Opera. I use it on Desktop Windows 10. I want to choose what my thumbnail looks like.

I appreciate the generated thumbs as they do most times look very nice. But when they do not I would like to place my own thumbnail in. I can quickly edit a picture in Paint.net so I do not need an editor. Just an option that lets me access a .png with and it's suggested size.

I understand there are probably several workarounds to this thumbnail problem. But non of them are user friendly, quick, simple, or already a part of Opera's options. I would like this option installed by Opera themselves. Currently if I right click a speed dial icon I get the option to (1)edit name, (2)address, or (3)move to trash. I would appreciate a forth option to insert your own thumbnail.

Addons/workarounds are NOT user friendly and quick. I mean the word "speed" in Speed Dial suggests to me a fast solution. Not a forever search for addons or web geek inspired workarounds.
