Shelluser, you are right -- a way to REMOVE that bookmark you just saved would also be nice.
Sometimes I click the HEART/Save button, only to realize it's the wrong page -- and I don't want to save it. But there is no way to reverse the action -- short of going to the bookmarks, finding it, deleting it there.
When pressing HEART to save a bookmark, let us change the text of the bookmark name.
I know that I can go back to BOOKMARKS and change the name there. But that is another couple of steps.
Typical Situation:
I find a site I want to save for later (maybe a technical tip or some news article).
I press BOOKMARK to save it.
The title is something that does not describe what I find interesting about the site.
Example: The site's title is "How to get the most from your computer" ... but the important thing to me is that it tells me how to use OPERA better. If I can change the title to "Tips for Using Opera", I'm better able to search for that site later.

I too would like to be able to set the speed-dial button icons to pictures of my own choosing.
NOTES:
The steps in the 3rd post down (by rafaelluik) no longer work (as of May 19, 2015). The thumbs.db file is still there, but it does not reflect what speed-dials are active. It seems that when I add or change a speed-dial is is only the BOOKMARKS file that gets updated. I'm guessing that as the developers are integrating Speed-Dial with Bookmarks...all data related to the bookmarks & dials is going in to the BOOKMARKS file.
The suggestion to use SYMBALOO does not solve the issue. Symbaloo is a third-party site that is not part of Opera. There are many bookmark-managers/speed-dial type sites on the Internet. Using those is okay, if that is what you want. But suggesting that as a solution to this problem is like saying: If your car is broken...don't take it to the mechanic, buy a different car. It's an option, but not a solution to the problem.
Saying that we can choose which picture using the Bookmarks / Heart-Menu is not a solution either. It's nice that they put up a couple of pictures for us to choose -- but in many cases I (and many other comments I have read around the web) want the ability to SET OUR OWN picture.
I have confidence the developers are working on this as they integrate speed-dial with bookmarks. I like Opera and will wait patiently for this feature.

A site that I go very frequently has Opera bring up the "Malicious site warning" message.
Wondering if there is a way to safe-list this site so that Opera knows that it's okay.

Pressing Control-Space take the current web-browser-tab directly to the Speed-Dials.
The problem is that whatever information or text I have typed on the open-web-browser screen is then lost.
Sometimes when typing the palm of my hand hits the CONTROL key. If I happen to be typing a SPACE at the same time...all my text is lost.
Pressing BACK does bring me back to the previous page...but does NOT restore all the text I've typed.
Is there any way to fix this??
