Hi, I have the same issue. Don't use my yahoo account much, but when I checked it my problem is the same. I tried to connect on my android phone as well and it said it couldn't connect, although a recent email appeared in the inbox. But I can't send from it. Two step verification is disabled and use of less secure apps is permitted.

RE: Videos not playingOpera for Windows
I had the same problem, I'm also using Vista Home Premium and Flash player was not working in Opera 36, or Pale Moon. Yandex did work for me though. (I'm very impressed with Yandex most of the time).
Definitely seems like a problem limited to Flash 23 and Vista and XP. It's also being discussed on Adobe forum.
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2208589
I used the link in the Adobe thread to get Flash 22, seems to have worked for me. (note: there is a typo in the link above, here is how it should look-

RE: Twitter Videos not working in 31Opera for Windows
Thanks for that information mickysc, unfortunately for now I'm stuck on 36 for this pc as I am using Vista. But that maybe explains why I don't have the same problem with Opera on my Win 10 laptop.

RE: Twitter Videos not working in 31Opera for Windows
I have the same issue as well, getting the "This browser does not support video playback." error on twitter videos. Posted on another thread before discovering this one so apologies for that. I'm using Opera 36 stable, on Windows Vista, videos run OK in Yandex browser and Flashpeak Slimjet, but not Opera. Tried disabling hardware acceleration didn't make any difference.

RE: How to create new or edit old theme in Opera 36?Opera for Windows
Thank you! I have done this in the past but had forgotten. I have been clicking on Speed dial settings and browser settings trying to work out how to do this. So easy when you know how!

RE: Please being back the integrated email clientSuggestions and feature requests
To jww - There seem to be a lot of people who are frustrated by the choice of email clients available. Here is a link to a review article - the comments are still continuing after a year.

Personally I have used EM Client (good, but free version limited to 2 accounts) and Fossamail (based on Mozilla Thunderbird, from the makers of Pale Moon browser).

RE: New Opera beta 35Future releases
Thanks for the changes, I like the mute and mute other tabs additions. Very useful!
Also appreciate you considering the addition of a separate search window, as this is something I have missed. However in its present form it only allows you to use the default search engine, the same one as the main window, so it brings little benefit. It would be much better if you could quickly select from a drop down menu the search engine you need for a particular search. Thanks!

RE: Stop messing with the UIOpera for Windows
Well, I never knew that! It does help, although it also renders the text very small on the folders list on the left, or if you switch to list view. Like you I mostly use list view, think I'll stick with it.

RE: Redirected by Vodafone when trying to access any website.Other phones
Thanks for the update idonno, that's useful to know. Others may want to do that, I don't know if I will, I would definitely recommend Opera Max,it works very well, has minimal battery drain, and it doesn't just work with your browser, but all your 3g connected activity - email, games etc. Having said that, I don't understand why Opera Mini servers would be blocked and Opera Max's wouldn't, so maybe they will at some point in the future, in which case the call will need to be made

RE: Stop messing with the UIOpera for Windows
Hello Cyvasse, Welcome to the forums. Great analysis! Agree with you on the speed dial, I also thought stash was a useful innovation which could have been developed. I think the new Bookmarks could be OK if they were also smaller or resizeable, those big squares just lead to lots of scrolling.

RE: New Adobe flash player upgrade causes Opera 26.0 to crashOpera for Windows
I don't know about the original poster but I would not know how to answer that question. Surely if they uninstalled flash and reinstall it they will get the better option?
How can you see which one it is? I use a several browsers, and recently updated flash from the adobe website, but then a pop up appeared which looked like no adobe update I had ever seen before telling me I needed to update flash player. I ignored it as I had only just updated. Could it have been these two different types used by different browsers? -
RE: Redirected by Vodafone when trying to access any website.Other phones
Hi. I tried it and no, it doesn't. I'd had another idea, I discovered Opera Max and installed it. Yesterday it worked fine with my usual browser - CM Browser - but today it isn't working any more! Yesterday the only site I could get on Opera Mini was one for Vodafone FreeBees that is bookmarked on the home page speed dial; it has a live.vodafone.co.uk URL. But today that is no longer working either, although I was able to get to that site on Opera for Android with off-road enabled. To summarise it looks like each time you try a different approach there is limited success initially which then ends up not working. But I think it is a Vodafone problem, not an Opera one.

RE: Redirected by Vodafone when trying to access any website.Other phones
I had this problem too! Opera Mini works fine on wifi but not on 3g. In the past I was getting the content control message, now I just get a connection error message. Also with Vodafone (UK) . Other browsers work fine. I think Linuxmint7 is right, it probably is to do with the proxy, but I don't see anything in My Vodafone settings that could change that.

RE: transfer of Opera browser mail, bookmarks, contacts to new computerOpera for Windows
Is your mail account set up as pop3 or imap? If it is imap, then when you create the account and sign in on the new computer using Opera Mail or Opera 12 it will synchronise with the server and download your emails and their folders structure. No need for any files to be transferred. Your contacts would be a different matter.

RE: Opera Mail: beginner with a weird questionOpera for Windows
Don't want to confuse things, but you might want to make sure which trash folder they have gone to. If they are only in Opera Mail's trash file on the computer then they will stay there. But if they are also in gmail's IMAP synchronised trash folder then I think you need to watch out because gmail normally deletes whatever is in the trash after two weeks. It would be much better to undelete them as suggested.

RE: Seeking Helpful Help files or recommendations for alternative browserOpera for Windows
First of all, thanks to the OP for the reference to Rube Goldberg, I'm not a kid, but he is new to me.
You say that you are looking for privacy, security and elegant design. I honestly don't think there is anything today that fulfils those requirements. I used to enjoy playing with Opera and Firefox themes that came complete with icons, they were functional and still looked great, but it seems now that a theme amounts to little more than a background for the speed dial. My own new favourite is Maxthon Cloud, which allows you to choose any default search engine for the main window, and has a separate search window so that your browser is not looking for suggestions the moment you start typing. So it is private, fast and customizable but I wouldn't call it elegant. Sleipnir and Safari both claim to be elegant, and they are, but you are stuck with default search engines, and a fixed layout.Actually I find that of all the Chrome based browsers, Yandex, with its Tableau is the most elegant. But I wouldn't know about its security.

RE: Good alternatives to Opera 12.16?Opera for Windows
That last link is helpful but everyone is different and there are other options. For me, I haven't found anything to replicate the email side of 12.15, but for browsing I second the nomination for the latest version of Maxthon Coud which out of the box has an Opera Link equivalent, RSS reader, bookmarks manager, notes, sidebar for quick access to these, option to use 2 different engines, separate search box and customizable search options (yay!), mouse gestures, download manager, reader mode and an excellent source sniffer for downloading videos etc. The sidebar looks a bit clunky, but it can even be detached and pinned to your desktop which is a nice trick although I don't use it. They also maintain several older versions! The main negative so far is that the Mac version doesn't seem to have these features, it seems the development path has been different.
Of the other Chrome clones, I like Comodo Dragon for speed, appearance and security. It can be set up to use Comodo's DNS servers.
Having said all that, when Opera 15 came out I despaired, but I find Opera 20 is usable, fast and stable. I don't love it, but it's getting better.
