RE: Frustrated! upgraded from v12. to v30; Bookmark problems, finding tools, etc ---a royal PITA---Opera for Windows
i got frustrated from all the new versions after 12. i was hoping for an opera experience, except chromium under the hood. i finally had to leave opera a while back and now use chrome exclusively...haven't looked back.
i find it hilarious that after all this time bookmarks was never fixed. way to listen to your users, opera. had something good on your hands and messed it up

[19.0.1326.56] Toggle Bookmarks on and off?Opera for Windows
so i installed the new opera 19. looks like my bookmarks, but it's in this ugly bar horizontally on the top of my browser taking up real estate. i have two questions.
1) is there a way i can quickly toggle the the bookmarks bar on/off...i.e. show/hide?
2) is there a way i can view the the bookmarks/folders vertically instead of horizontally?
thanks!

RE: Gmail not working anymore in OperaOpera for Windows
is anyone having an issue with labels in gmail in opera 18?
i can't see all of them when using opera. on firefox or chrome, when you scroll down to the bottom of the labels in the left panel there is a 'more' button that reveals all of the labels. it's missing on opera 18

RE: YABT (Yet Another Bookmarks Thread) Upgrading from 12.16Opera for Windows
Originally posted by rilef:
Opera 18 uses the same bookmark files ("Bookmarks" and "Favicons" and "Favicons-journal") as Google Chrome and other Chromium browsers. You can always copy these bookmark files from one browser to another, say from Chrome's user profile folder to Opera 18's user profile folder. You can also use many Chrome extensions, including Chrome bookmark extensions, in Opera 18. On the other hand, the Opera bookmarks extension is not recommended. It was designed for an earlier version of Opera Blink, which had no bookmarks, and does not use the same bookmark files used by Opera 18 and Chrome.
Bookmark and other Chrome extensions are available for download from the Chrome Web Store. Prior to visiting the Chrome Web Store, you should install the Download Chrome Extensions extension from Opera add-ons.
@rilef thanks for the tip. do you recommend any specific bookmarks extension?
