A useful extra check, alongside disabling extensions, is to see whether the tab is being detached by a drag rather than opened as a new window. Try opening a tab with Ctrl+T and with the + button, without moving the mouse after the click, and compare that with middle-clicking or right-clicking a link and choosing to open it in a new tab. If only a dragged tab separates, it is usually the tab strip picking up a small drag movement. You can drag that separate window back onto the tab strip of the main window, and keeping the main window maximised makes an accidental drag less likely. If every method still opens a separate window, note whether it also happens in a private window, as that helps narrow it down to a setting or extension rather than the tab button itself.

RE: Syncing/Importing BookmarksOpera for Windows
One extra safeguard that has saved me when doing this kind of one-off tidy-up is to check the other laptops first for any bookmarks that only exist there. Before clearing anything, I move those few items into a clearly named folder, or export that laptop's set as well, so they are not lost in the reset. I also do one laptop at a time and check the result before moving to the next one, rather than repeating the same steps on both straight away. That way, if something does not import as expected, you still have a clean copy to work from and you have not affected the other machine.

RE: How to report problem to Opera?General
That sounds especially frustrating when the usual report form is itself one of the pages you cannot use. Since this forum thread is readable, posting the details here is a sensible workaround for now. It would help anyone trying to reproduce it if you add your operating system, whether the problem also happens in a private window, and whether disabling extensions changes anything. If a private window works normally, an extension or a site setting is a likely culprit; if it does not, noting the exact pages affected and that another browser works fine points more clearly to this Opera version. I hope that extra detail helps someone here pin down a fix or a workaround for you.

RE: Add more features for productivitySuggestions and feature requests
I agree that the quieter, practical features matter most for heavy work. I find keeping one workspace for study or work, with only the tabs I need for that task, helps me stay focused far more than a new theme does. A simple split view for notes beside the source material would make that routine much smoother.

RE: [Suggestion] More Work and Study BoostsBoosts
For study routines, I would find a calm focus boost and a short-break boost most useful, rather than just more of the same. A focus option that keeps the browser quiet while I work through revision notes, and a separate gentle break option for stepping away between study blocks, would fit different routines better than a single all-purpose boost. The variety stephen4 mentioned makes sense too, as a timed revision session feels very different from longer reading or planning.
