Clicking on a video on the right-panel of Youtube still doesn't work for me. Does anyone have a better workaround than copying and pasting the link or opening it in a new tab?

RE: Opera 29 slow on Mac?Opera for Mac
@eybby have you tried renaming your session files. That worked for me in the short-term.
Quit Opera and go to ~/Library/Application Support/com.operasoftware.Opera/ Rename the files session.db, session-db.journal, session.dbak Restart Opera and it will re-create those files.

RE: Opera (15-26) gets very slow as Sessions.db gets largeOpera for Windows
It looks like this issue isn't just a problem in Opera for Windows. It's the same for me with Opera 29 for Mac.
Things generally get worse and worse until you start again with new session files. It's making Opera almost unusable at the moment. -
RE: Flash Video Keeps Pausing ("Skipping") But NOT the AudioOpera for Mac
I've got a possible workaround.
Quit Opera and go to ~/Library/Application Support/com.operasoftware.Opera/
Rename the files session.db, session-db.journal, session.dbak
Restart Opera and it will re-create those files.Anything I watch on You Tube now diplays fine. It looks to me as though Opera have done something screwy with their tab/session handling that causes a lag every few seconds.
I don't consider this a long-term fix for me as I want to keep the details of all the 30+ tabs I currently have open so I've had to rename these files back. However if it fixes the problem for others, it does point to the problem being with the session/tab database. (In the meantime, I'm back to watching any video in Safari )

RE: Flash Video Keeps Pausing ("Skipping") But NOT the AudioOpera for Mac
@mbaluta do the OS X console log timings tie up with the pauses in the video for you? When I checked the logs as I viewed pages on You Tube, the no new entries were added. I do however see similar lines to the ones you've highlighted at other times.
Why do you think process wakups would cause the video display to pause?

@rrzepecki the problem isn't directly related to Flash. I have You Tube set to use HTML5 video and I still get the pauses in the video display.

@chas4 do you get the same problem if you switch to HTML5 video? (You can switch here https://www.youtube.com/html5?gl=GB)
What version of OX X are you running? (I'm on Yosemite 10.10.3)

Did you get anywhere with a fix for this?
I get exactly the same problem but only in Opera. In Firefox, Safari and Chrome videos play smoothly. As you did, I tried switching to HTML5 video and I've tried with hardware acceleration turned off and on but nothing helps.

RE: Opera not opening links properlyOpera for Mac
It feels to me as though one of the internal databases used to manage history and sessions has got screwed up but I don't know how to troubleshoot those. What I'd like to do is save my open set of windows as a session like you could do in Opera 12 and re-install the browser. I don't think there's a way to do that any more sadly.
Sounds as though my problem is pretty isolated so I don't think updating to a later version will help. I think it's the session data that's screwed rather than the app.

I'm using 25.0.1614.50. I've cleared both cache and history but there was no change to the problem.

Opera not opening links properlyOpera for Mac
Frequently when I click on a link in a page or Cmd+Click to open the link in a new tab, the url changes but the page content remains that of the original page. The only way I can get the content to display is to either restart Opera completely or to copy and paste the link's url into a new blank tab.
I've tried clearing my history and cache but neither made any difference. Is there anything else I can try?

RE: Opera 18 and vimeo video problem.Opera for Windows
I don't have Off-Road mode enabled. I don't think I've ever used it.

RE: Opera 18 and vimeo video problem.Opera for Windows
It's a reasonable suggestion but the exceptions list works on the url in the address bar.
When the Vimeo video is embedded you'd have to add each site to the exception list. You can't do it by adding the Vimeo CDN and player domains to the list.

I don't mind clicking the button to run Flash Player. What I'm saying is that button doesn't work.

RE: Opera 18 and vimeo video problem.Opera for Windows
I have the same problem running Opera 18.0.1284.49.
The Vimeo controls appear but the "Click to run Adobe Flash Player" doesn't do anything.
