Is Opera truly free and activity not tracked?Opera for Windows
Is the latest version really free? It says 'free to download' but so do thousands of shareware programs.
Is it really private or does this new chrome engine mean we're tracked, harvested for so-called anonymous data?
I'm still using 12.16. Will there be any real advantage if I download the latest as a separate install to try?
Any real advantage in 64-bit over 32?
Thanks.

Where do I set 'send email if forum reply posted'?Forum feedback
Where do I set 'send email if forum reply posted'? I know I found this a couple of days ago because it took me over ten minutes. I must have been inspired because I've just spent 20 minutes and can't find it again!
Reason is, I'm as certain as one can be that when I posted the other day I checked to make sure I'd get an email - and sure enough, it was set for me to get an email. Also checked my email address is correct - yes.
Guess what? I never got an email even though someone had replied.
Hence, to set my mind at rest that I'm not crazy, I searched and searched for the setting. But where is it? I've even nosed around the forum posts in case it's not in the user account settings directly but on the forum pages. Still nothing.
I'll check back each day for 7 days then I jump from my window and it will be your fault.

RE: Can I change radio button text?Opera for Windows
Thanks, sgunhouse. I had no luck with that particular file but got me searching and eventually found it in the main Opera folder where language texts are stored, which for English is:
[Opera program folder]\locale\en\en.lng
I guess they were never meant to be 'official' user preferences, which makes sense, but can be changed anyway.

Can I change radio button text?Opera for Windows
I have a radio button Enable Javascript on my bar. To save space, can I reword it somewhere to say, Jscript?
[Edit: I'm using Opera 12.16]

RE: Address bar text is feint. How can I show it normal?Opera for Windows
Well yes, in the general sense of 'lacking brightness' but 'feint' is the term specific to font display.
Anyway, thanks. Seems odd though to have the address deliberately faded so it's harder to read without any option for the millions of sight-impaired people of the world. F8 does help a bit but choices like bold domain, feint for the parameters, would be good.

Address bar text is feint. How can I show it normal?Opera for Windows
I thought this was possible but I've searched config and Opera help and googled without success for the following problem:
The address in the Address bar is feint except for the domain and very hard to read. How can I show it all in normal?
Thanks for any help.
