@tjcedar Same here. I'm just coming back to Opera and can't get around this problem. Thought it was Adblock, but shutting that off didn't help. Same with uBlock. Mystifying. I'd like to stay with Opera, but this is a major hurdle.

Wow. I was having the same problem with Netflix. Shutting off turbo actually worked. Unexpected surprise there. Thanks, forum.

RE: YouTube chaosOpera for Windows
I haven't tried the volume control. Good call. I'll give that a whirl. I've actually switched to 31 beta and it's better, but I'd still like to work it out.
What I meant is, there are extensions meant to stop html5 autoplay but they didn't work. Not with YouTube, anyway.
For some reason, all my comments and replies are being sent for moderation. I don't recall saying anything flag-worthy lately, but who knows.

RE: YouTube chaosOpera for Windows
When Magic Actions is enabled, the controls are no longer visible. I can stop and pause by clicking on the video, but I can't see the progress slider or any of the other functions. I tried changing some of the MA settings, but that failed to solve it. Disabled the other YouTube related plugins and all that to no avail.
I did get around to remembering the Flash change in YT, which explains the failure of the click-to-play setting. Installed a couple plug-ins meant to address the problem, but those didn't work, either. Presently, Magic Actions is the only thing that will prevent auto-play, but I can't use it. I'm using Iron for the time being. Will watch for further Opera updates. Appreciate the input.

YouTube chaosOpera for Windows
I keep checking the forums to see if anyone else has major problems with YT after the upgrade to 30. Pretty much everything is broken in my version. If I enable Magic Actions, it completely obliterates the player controls no matter how I configure it. Thought I'd disable MA and just used Opera's built in click-to-play function to thwart YouTube's autoplay, but that doesn't work at all. In desperation, I tried installing Flash Control, but for whatever reason, it won't stop YouTube from autoplaying. It's a big old mess in there. Before 30, I had multiple options to handle flash in YouTube, and now suddenly I have none. Nobody else experiencing these things> I've had to switch over to Iron, which I really don't like much.

RE: Click to play setting fails; YouTube videos play automatically.Opera for Windows
Balls. Someone mentioned an extension to block YT html5 autoplay, but I haven't stumbled upon one. Anybody have a link?
- "Stop Youtube HTML5" seems to work, although the permissions are kind of unsettling.
** For chrissakes. Magic Action, which I already have, handles this just fine. I should probably have more coffee before troubleshooting.

RE: Opera 'Not Responding'Opera for Windows
The issue cleared up on its own. It was doing something in the background, I just don't know what.

I'd be interested to hear how you make out. Started experiencing this today.

Opera 'Not Responding'Opera for Windows
Anybody else experiencing sluggish behavior and 'not responding' messages? The browser has become almost unusable over the past hour or so. I assumed it was updating behind the scenes, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Just wondering if it's on their end or mine.

RE: A few setbacksOpera for Windows
I remember experiencing the plug-in problem when I came aboard. Turned out to be something stupid, although I can't remember what. Haven't had an issue since. Hope you have the same luck, now that it seems to be worked out.

I'll be a son of a... I swear I tried that, too, but apparently not. That little comma does the trick. Guess you can mark this one as solved. Thanks leocg.

RE: Opera Mail: multiple recipientsOpera for Windows
*I stand corrected. Apparently it WILL deliver the message if I manually enter the address. Still a little confused on why it won't complete the address as I start typing, though.

Opera Mail: multiple recipientsOpera for Windows
Hi there. Every time I think I have the mail program down, something else emerges to baffle me.
When I'm composing an email, I find that I can't enter more than one address in the "to" field. No problem, I just display the "CC" field and type in the address for the second recipient. The problem arises when I need to address mail to more than two people. I cannot enter additional addressed after the first in either the "to" or "cc" field. It won't autocomplete and it apparently won't take if I type it in manually. Am I overlooking something obvious here? I haven't seen this addressed in searches here and elsewhere. Thanks for anything you can tell me. - Opera for Windows

RE: Opera MailOpera for Windows
I just downloaded and started using the email program. I'm amazed at how good it is so far. I tried several before it and didn't have any luck. I don't even like Thunderbird anymore. Opera really seems to do the trick for me.
Anyway, I get the notifications in the form of little pop up windows down there on the taskbar. What works for me, though, is going to the customize area down there and for the Opera mail icon, selecting "show icon and notifications." Now every time I get a new email, it's obvious. Icon changes from red to some gray thing. Very eye catching. Not bad considering I thought I'd have to live without notifications altogether. -
RE: YouTube search fieldOpera for Windows
Weirdly, it appears YouTubes is back to marking vids as watched again. No idea when they brought it back.

RE: YouTube search fieldOpera for Windows
Well, that was easy. Turns out it was an extension called "You Watch" which marks YT videos as watched once you've viewed them. Handy but not as handy as the search function. Cool. Hey, thanks a lot. Worked like a charm.

Cache and cookies flush didn't fix it. I'll start disabling extensions. Thanks again for the help.

RE: YouTube search fieldOpera for Windows
Sorry for the delay... Wow. The search field works in a private window. I wouldn't have guessed that it would. No idea what it means, but that's real good to know. Looks like I'm using version 27.0. Thanks for the help.
