RE: Opera Browser Assistant?Opera for Windows
@sgunhouse @burnout426 @whisperer I checked it with a Task Manager and it looks like Opera is 64-bit but Opera Browser Assistant is 32-bit. The same thing happens with 64-bit Chrome, whose some background processes are 32 bit. And I actually don't know what "contextual hints" Opera Browser Assistant has, as it can only launch the browser with it or close it.

RE: Opera Browser Assistant?Opera for Windows
@sgunhouse I took it from Opera long time ago. IMO it looks like this appeared just after update, 9 days ago.
EDIT: here's the output from VirusTotal

RE: Opera Browser Assistant?Opera for Windows
@leocg there's an Opera icon in system tray. When I right-click it there appears a menu with "Launch Opera" and "Close". I checked this with Task Manager and it shows it's Opera Browser Assistant (32 bit), more accurately browser_assistant.exe. It's located in C:\Program Files\Opera\assistant. I checked this file in Virustotal and it's allegedly harmless, and related to Opera installer.

Opera Browser Assistant?Opera for Windows
A few days ago I noticed Opera icon in my system tray (Windows 10) just after boot. I've never seen this before but thought it was being updated or sth like that. I thought after the next boot everything will be "normal", but I again saw Opera icon in system tray. And again and again... I checked Task Manager and it shows a process called Opera Browser Assistant (32 bit). What is it? The process is located in Opera folder created after installation. Is it a new feature implemented with last updates? I do not want this process to start automatically every boot.
