Kaspersky flagging new Opera GX update as Trojan HorseOpera GX
Opera GX is my default browser for years and I'm using Kaspersky for a few months now, I've been using both for months without any issues—until today. After an Opera GX update, Kaspersky started flagging
PDM:Exploit.Win32.Generic
in Opera GX files. After Kaspersky took action, I completely uninstalled Opera GX and downloaded a fresh setup. However, after reinstalling, the files are still being flagged. -

@dontpayjustplay An update "LVL 6 (core: 116.0.5366.148) – 2025-02-20" was released, and I believe it addresses this issue. You can check it here.
Verify if your Opera browser is up to date.
As for The tabs not unloading.

RE: [Duplicated]Tabs keep going to the same workspace after closing Opera GXOpera GX
Your "Sessions" files might be corrupted. Try this:
1. Organize your tabs across your Workspaces.
2. In each Workspace, right-click the Opera window and select "Save all tabs as Speed Dial folder". Rename the folders to match the Workspaces for easy reference.
3. Go to
opera://about
, copy the Profile path, navigate to it and open the "Sessions" folder.4. Close Opera completely. Then, back up and delete all files inside the "Sessions" folder.
This will cause your Workspaces to reset.5. Open Opera, go through your Workspaces, open a Speed Dial tab, right-click the folder matching the Workspace, and select "Open all in new tabs". Repeat for each Workspace.
(Keep the Speed Dial folders saved as a backup, just in case.) -
