I use Opera since it was born, however, I am not a techno guy.
My Opera Mail seems to have a corrupted index. It is terribly slow.
I found the advice to rename the folder "lexicon", but that comment is too brief for me:
Where do I find the the folder "lexicon"?
What should I do after renaming that folder?
Should I set something somewhere to make Opera Mail discover where it is or what is the new name?

(I understand this is elementary to some, but not to me...)

Would be happy to receive your help!

Would it not be a good idea to develop a NPAPI plugin interface for Opera?
I am not a developer, but an "end-user" using Opera since it early start, and I am not alone. I cannot live with a browser unfit for bank transactions.

Thank you both for answering. However, your answers are a bit too technical, as are the Help-pages. Anyhow, it now seems to work, and I got it all transferred by doing as follows:

I copied all the files and entire folders mentioned on the About-pages, and copied them as replacements on my new installation on my new PC with Windows 8. As to Opera Mail, the email server returned"Applicaton-specific password required: http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?answer=185833(Failure)", which I slowly understood had to do with 2 step security system. I had to go to that page at Google and get a new security code to use as password in Opera Mail.

On the help pages, I can find no description I do understand as to how to go about:
I have one laptop with Windows 7, still working with Opera browser (v. 26.0) and Opera Mail (v. 1.0), but with defect communication ports.
Then I have one new laptop with Windows 8, where I have installed Opera browser (v. 26.0) and Opera Mail (v. 1.0).
Now, I want to transfer all content, profiles, etc from the old to the new ones.
The help pages refer to "About Opera" and "About Mail" pages, where they tell about files to back up and files and folders used. Should I simply copy the files mentioned there, and no other files in the named folders, from the old PC and overwrite the corresponding ones on the new installation?
Or should I also copy the entire folders mentioned?
Or just the entire folders?
The help files do not give any help on this as far as I can understand.

Anyone?
