I can add to this that it says at the bottom 'getting messages" then followed by 'synchronizing' and then 'fetching messages"....and that's it. no messages get in.

Since last week my Opera Mail doesn't receive mail anymore. Sending mail is no problem.
No settings were changed. I run Windows 7 and the latest version of Opera Mail (version 1 build 1044).
Tried a new account. Strange thing happened that it got all my mail from the provider's server, but stopped at the same date and time as my original mail account. Thunderbird and Outlook have the same settings and no problems in receiving mail. I've got a POP account. Any idea what could cause this? Please advise. Eaglefly01

If I upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10, will it leave my Opera e-mail account intact. I have both the standalone version and the older version that also includes the browser. Will both accounts be intact once Windows 10 has been installed? I appreciate your feedback. Eaglefly01

Thanks for the detailed information and explanation. I will go ahead and follow the suggestions you mention.
I already have the standalone Opera (latest version) installed, but it crashes everyime I put my cursor on the bookmarks (which doesn't show any of the imported bookmarks). Any suggestions there or should I try and serach the forum. Best regards, Eaglefly01
