I know that. Opera GX says that I'm about to uninstal Opera. Hence, my confusion. Shouldn't it say I'm about to uninstall Opera GX?

Uninstalling GXOpera GX
I checked out GX and it's nice but I'm perfectly happy with my regular Opera browser. However, when I went to uninstall GX, I get a message asking if I'm sure I want to completely uninstall Opera. Well, No! I just want to uninstall GX. If I proceed, will I lose regular Opera, as well?

RE: 60.0.3255.84 causes (0xc0000022) error.Opera for Windows
Thank you so much. I haven't closed the browser for fear of another crash and I've found that even though it's still running, trying to open an html file from my HD or from my html text editor is already causing the error so obviously the browser has updated.
I'll go back and reinstall .83 and turn autoupdate off.
Thanx again.

60.0.3255.84 causes (0xc0000022) error.Opera for Windows
The latest version of Opera - 60.0.3255.84 causes, "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022)." I run Win 7 - 64 bit
All attempts to uninstall and reinstall failed. I finally went back to version 60.0.3255.83 and everything runs fine. However, it's going to auto-update so as soon as I shut it down and try to restart it, it's going to fail again.
Can't I turn off auto-update until a more stable version is available?

RE: opera won't play video on facebook, netflix, other sites, except youtubeOpera for Windows
I've found that more and more sites are becoming an issue with being browser specific and/or Adblocker aware. You may be experiencing something like that.
First thing you can try is to install the extension User-Agent Switcher - the icon looks like a world globe attached to a network line. With a simple click, this allows you to make your Opera browser emulate and other type of browser. For example: Hulu doesn't like Opera and it will tell you that your browser is not supported. But if I use the switcher to make my Opera look like Microsoft Edge, it has no problem using Hulu.
If that doesn't work for the problem sites, just try turning off your Adblocker for that site ...if you trust the site and see it that works. Sometimes, that's all it takes.

RE: Site is currently not available in your country.Lounge
I'd suggest a VPN like the ibVPN extension for Opera. I know Opera has a built in VPN but ibVPN is very fast and hardly effects transfer speeds at all. It does cost about $10 a month but well worth it, imo.
If I go to someplace like India and get a rejection page, I just click the ibVPN extension, select India in the country server list and refresh the page. I'm in. Easiest and quickest VPN I'm ever used.

RE: Hulu Doesn't Like UsLounge
Problem solved.
I found a extension for Opera called User-Agent Switcher. Once that's installed, you can convince other websites that you are user a different browser. In may case, I selected Chrome and Hulu let me right in and everything works fine ...just like I though it would.

Hulu Doesn't Like UsLounge
I've been an Opera user for quite some time so my browser is loaded with setting, bookmarks, etc. and I love the browser ever since I switched over from Chrome.
I've also been a Hulu subscriber for quite some time ...as well as Netflix and Amazon Prime as my wife and I found out we could save about $75 a month watching TV through the computer instead of a dish or cable.
Imagine my surprise when I went by Hulu the other day and I was presented with a big screen saying my browser is no longer supported. I have never run across a site in my history of browsing the Internet that wouldn't let me in because I use Opera. There have been a few sites that have warned me that they don't support my browser but they let me in anyway and I've never experienced a problem. But, apparently, Hulu believes that if they didn't optimize their site for a specific browser, it's not going to work and that's that.
So, since I have absolutely no interest in changing browsers and/or installing unwanted software on my computers, I canceled my Hulu. Any TV show or movie they have that I may want to see, I can most likely find elsewhere so I don't really need them anyway ...and apparently they don't need us Opera users, either.
What do you think?
