I have a lot of tabs open in my current Opera session and I need to format my computer and install Windows afresh. How can I carry the session over?
I thought the simplest way might be to bookmark all the tabs into a folder, but there doesn't seem to be a bookmark all tabs option. There are simply too many tabs to bookmark manually.
I think this is a matter of Youtube, not of the browser. It is YT, I think, that memorizes the position and for me, like for you, it sometimes memorizes it sometimes not, across browsers.
So for us peasants who are still on XP is there any way to get Opera to play h.264 with some extension or something?

How do I get youtube videos to always play in the new transparent player? Right now they switch between the old player and the new one seemingly at random.
I have Opera 36.0.2130.80, but it tells me its up to date, even tho wiki says the latest version is 39.0.2256.48. What's going on? How can I update without manually uninstalling and installing?
When you have a lot of tabs open the tab icons get squished to a very small size. Is there any way to set a minimum size for the tabs, and then if they don't all fit you press arrows left and right to scroll through, like in Firefox?
Here's a BIG problem with this add on , in case the dev is reading, when you restore a session it should not immediately load all the tab and break my system in half. I should only load one tab and then load the others when you click on them.
I looked at that one and its not bad, my objections (based on comments) are:
it merges windows when you save a session, rather than remembering which window tabs were in
no autosave option
Now, those are not intolerable faults, but I'm wondering if there isn't something that doesn't have those faults.
Well, I'm off the matter of best, now I'm just looking for something that works. I looked at the add ons on the opera website, and there's like 4 session savers, all of which have some drawback.
Either they can't handle it when tabs go into 100s or they can't save a session with multiple windows or something like that.
Are there other extensions besides what's on this site?
What's the best add-on for saving sessions? Something that's good at recovering crashed sessions.
Also, it would be great if it could save individual tabs, like the Pocket feature in FFox.

But in Chrome, for ex., when it crashes it saves the CURRENT session (the one which, due to the crash, ends up empty), but it also has a file where the PREVIOUS session is saved, the one from which you drew the tabs for the current session, which has crashed.
Doesn't Opera have something like that?
But, c'mon guys, where does Opera store session data?
I'm googling and finding mention of autosave.win or lastsession.db, but I don't even have the folders where those files are supposed to be.
It saves them SOMEWHERE.
I had it set to "continue where I left of" and it WOULD restore it properly always except now when it crashed.
Is there really no way to get them back?
Its the latest version. It just crashed out of nowhere. Then when I tried to start it again it would report some error for a while (can't remember what it was), and then, that same day, without me doing anything or restarting, it suddenly DID start, but without any tabs.
This hasn't happened before, I just installed Opera a few days ago.
Opera crashed and when I started it basck up the tabs were lost. How do I restore the lost tabs?
