Apparently, disabling the hardware acceleration helps in here. No GPU usage at all, and still fast enough. I really recommend to turn that off on laptop.

RE: Opera 27.0.1689.54 Performance TroubleOpera for Windows
Sadly Opera 27.0.1689.69 has problem again
I don't know why does loading a simple, non-hitech HTML5 website even consuming 40-50% of GPU power...
I've tried other browsers (*fox based, chrome), none has this kind of problem. Sure they also use GPU too, but its usage isn't as high as Opera.

RE: Opera 27.0.1689.54 Performance TroubleOpera for Windows
It seems the 27.0.1689.66 update today fixed it, not much though, I still notice 40-50% GPU usage when loading a page, but somehow it drops quickly making it better than before. Thanks.

Nope, the problem still occurs. I don't think that is the cause (but I've tried it anyway, a help better than none).
"Ghosted" target in shorcut are usual, even for Microsoft product (something like this isn't? http://i.imgur.com/Bdx08Iq.png)
Any other thoughts?

Opera 27.0.1689.54 Performance TroubleOpera for Windows
Hi,
I notice there's something strange with latest Opera 27.0.1689.54 (which labeled "stable"). In my laptop, everytime I open a new site in a new tab or click a link (any kinds of links, secure or non secure), suddenly there's an increase (spiking) of CPU usage up to 50-65%. I checked it with Process Explorer (Sysinternals), along with it, the GPU also somehow, increase, around 20-30%. This is quite annoying when I open several tabs (6-8), it drains battery faster, and warmer. The spikes will down when the page is fully loaded, but this is quite annoying especially when I tried multitasking (open several tabs, click on some link, switch to other while waiting it's loaded). My specs are i7-3520M, 4GB (slot), Intel HD 4000.
Previous version (Opera 26) didn't have this problem. It occurs ever since I upgrade to 27. Reinstalling didn't solve, and I've checkup for any malicious programs that might run, there's none. So obviously it's Opera's.
And I can't downgrade back to 26, the installer stated that user data was incompatible because it's newer, damn.
Please check this out. Thanks.
