Launcher.exe needs to be manually killed in taskmgr (v34-35)Opera for Windows
Launcher.exe needs to be manually killed in taskmgr (v34-35). Does not shut down alongside Opera. Will stay open until reboot or manual ending

RE: launcher.exe or opera.exe? Installer gives me a bad shortcutOpera for Windows
Launcher.exe has been renamed to (replaced by) Opera.exe in v33. If you use this version use Opera.exe.
I rather doubt it, since every version, ie 33.0.1990.43 has its own exe files named Opera. Launcher.exe seems to stay afloat

RE: launcher.exe or opera.exe? Installer gives me a bad shortcutOpera for Windows
Then why does Path:\opera\launcher.exe result in 2 separate taskbar icons? One for launching, and one for the program? As opposed to the merged theme of Windows 7?

You should use launcher.exe, which will point to the correct opera.exe.
But Launcher.exe doesn't work correctly? So what works correctly?

RE: Opera 32 no Flashplayer pluginOpera for Windows
Try downloading an offline installer for Flash. Make sure its the version for Opera. Then run it when the web browser is closed.
Will that even work? I thought Flash broke because the internal plugin was out of date?

RE: Blocking WebsitesOpera for Windows
If you are just looking for an ad blocker, get µBlock.
uBlock shouldn't even be mentioned, when it has botched defaults.

RE: Presto upgrade to Opera 25Opera for Windows
Every extension that gives me tab lists when tabbing, has several frames of input delay. They also adds frames to tabbing(to go to that tab), so if I just hit alt+tab to go back to last tab, it will take several frames. Its a very notable delay.
There is also other issues, such as lack of smooth scrolling(inb4 you mention the checkbox for "add delay and interpolate").
Most of the ad block softwares increases page loading time, at the least those i tried.
I don't think you understand how significant the UI performance increase in Opera was, between version 7 and 9. And its making it very hard to migrate to other browsers. Now, the IRC extension works fine, as do a bunch of others as well.

That sucks. I don't know why they even bothered changing it.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
; Infamous capabilities:
Needs to be a part of it. The reg is invalid without it for some reason. -
RE: Wny is Opera 24 so "SLOW" in Windows 7?Opera for Windows
What do you mean slow?
Page render speed?
Input lag?
Unsmooth scrolling?
Page download speed?
Anything else? "Slow" doesn't tell us what the problem is. -
RE: Opera 24 not listed in Associate a file type or protocolOpera for Windows
Well, I had a thread on it:

Essentially, you need to create a .reg file and addSorry, should have said I was on Win 8. That hack is for Win 7. Thanks though.
So it doesn't work? Please clarify.

RE: Single Window Mode, and going to the left or right depending on where tabs are?Opera for Windows
There are four main versions of Opera for desktops, all with latest versions. Opera (Presto) 12.17, Opera 24 (Blink, Stable), Opera 25 (Blink, Beta) and Opera 26 (Blink, Development build).
Unless something where added to 25 or 26, its just 24 with more stuff. So yeah, when I go on twitch, and click the popup button, why does it spawn a new window, and how do I prevent that?

RE: Single Window Mode, and going to the left or right depending on where tabs are?Opera for Windows
