One thought is to clone the tab at question, and then highlight your text (eg, opera.com), and click on "go to web address." That will at least be a workaround to get you to the new tab.
If you still want to post your request, do it under General Topics/Suggestion Box in the forum (as that's the appropriate place for wish list items), but perhaps with a reason why it's important enough to do. It seems like the issue doesn't come up very often, and if you have all of the options you want in the right click menu, it might over-clutter that context menu. When I'm on a web page right now, and press right click, I have 15 options. I don't think I ever use this feature that you refer to, and personally, I would prefer not to have what you suggest in the context menu.
