Without knowing the exact reasons for why the CCTV app wants an older browser version, you can't be sure Opera36 will work with it until you try it. If you follow what @sgunhouse noted and choose an Opera install into a unique-named installation folder, that installation should remain isolated from any other Opera installation currently on the system - just be sure to open Opera36 and not another installed version when you want to access the CCTV app..
