Well after a lull Opera is back to crashing as it did before. Sometimes a couple times a day. Guess the extra RAM didn't help. Don't know what causes this crashing. Wish it would be corrected.

May have solved that frequent crashing problem.
My desktop PC is a first generation Dell i7 purchased back in 2009 with 8 GBs of RAM. It still runs great. In fact since putting in all SSDs it runs better now than when it was new!
Anyways I do push it now. Run a few browsers besides Opera and have sometimes 30 tabs open, or more, when running them. My System Monitor shows most of the 8 Gigs of RAM used and some had to go into the Swap file for help. Well Opera acts a bit quirky then, stalls has trouble keeping up and then crashes a lot. Firefox, Brave and Vivaldi run more stable by comparison while doing this and never crashed.
So since RAM is cheap, got and installed and now have 16 GBs of RAM. PC recognized it in both Linux and Windows with no problem. Noted a marked improvement in PC performance overall. And so far Opera has not crashed once and runs better than before. Maybe that was the issue all along when pushing PC like I have.

@cybrsaylr
Well updated Opera today to, Opera One(version: 115.0.5322.77) Opera is up to date.
Hoping that would correct all this crashing issues but a couple minutes ago Opera crashed again!In the process of restarting Opera reloading all my tabs again.
This is really getting pretty annoying........ -

@leocg
Hope it gets corrected.
Opera is my fav browser and some times I have 20+ tabs open that worked fine. Then Opera crashes and I have to restart and reload all those tabs! That's a real pain! -

Opera crashes once or twice every day lately.General
Have Opera One(version: 115.0.5322.68) Opera is up to date, running with Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS but the last couple days Opera crashes once or twice a day. Never did this before and used to be very stable.
Also run Firefox, Brave and Vivaldi which run fine and are very stable.

Opera One(version: 109.0.5097.68) running buggyOpera for Linux
Running this 'up to date' version of Opera above and it lags, slow to load and does mot play many videos! What's going on?
Prior version of Opera ran great! This new version not so great. Hope it gets resolved quickly.

RE: Google Maps problem with Opera with Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS ?Opera for Linux
@leocg I go there and right at top is a blue circle indicating, 'Sites can ask for your location'.
Lower down in, Allowed to see your location: I see: 'https://www.google.com:443
embedded on any host' is allowed.Google Maps shows me signed in but I cannot go into 2D or 3D functions like when using Chrome, Firefox or like Opera did in the past.

RE: Google Maps problem with Opera with Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS ?Opera for Linux
@cybrsaylr When using Chrome or Firefox, you simply open Google Maps, it asks you to sign in, you do that and give permissions and it's done. Everything and all functions work fine.
Opera used to be that way but for some reason not anymore.

@leocg I go into settings page and see Site Settings.
Open that and a big confusing page opens with lots of other who knows what! Go down that and hit another 'additional Site Settings' open that to many more confusing things that who knows what they are for!As I said all this is quite confusing!

@cybrsaylr This was no problem when using Google Maps with Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. All functions worked fine.
This problem began when using Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS.

@leocg Did that and get a page: Privacy and security/Location, with much below that I can't make sense of.
Very confusing.

Google Maps problem with Opera with Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS ?Opera for Linux
Using latest Opera: Version:99.0.4788.13 but can't use all functions of Google Maps, such as 2D and 3D as you can using Chrome and Firefox.
On Chrome and Firefox you sign into Google Maps and all functions work.
But on Opera I can't use the 2D and 3D functions.
You get this message from Opera: "Google Maps does not have permission to use your location."How do you correct this for Opera and give this permission to Google Maps?
