Alt-Enter in address bar no longer opens a new tabOpera GX
It used to be when entering a search in the address bar and pressing Alt-Enter, Opera opened a new tab with the results. This is how Google Chrome works by default. This no longer works in Opera. Did something change? Can I get it back? This is a deal breaker for me.

RE: [Compilation]Discussions About Missing Speed Dial/Home Page Button In Opera OneAppearance
Well, after fiddling with this start page mess for a few days, I better understand the behavior. I hate it, and it's not productive, but I hate it.
In a world where having many tabs open is a problem, Opera perpetuates the problem. There doesn't seem to be a way to go to the start page (speed dials) IN an open tab. One must click the + or the speed dial button in the sidebar (at the bottom left) which is both highly counterintuitive and requires you orient yourself from the address bar to find it.
Pinning the start page to the tab bar works the first time, but doesn't allow for opening the start page again in that tab.
I was an early adopter and moved away from IE, Chrome, Firefox and Edge. And this simple but profound change has me looking, once again, for a browser that is productive for me.

I did see where you can add speed dial to the side bar. Not at all intuitive, but at least there's that...

RE: [Compilation]Discussions About Missing Speed Dial/Home Page Button In Opera OneAppearance
I posted (here, I think) about a solution that completely evaded me. If you pin the start page tab, it shrinks to a start page/speed dial button. For my version of Opera, at least, this is a highly workable solution.
[EDIT: It was (correctly) pointed out to me that this method pins whatever URL you choose in speed dial. Damn, thought I had it...]

Well, I had a breakthrough and figured it out. When you start, Opera, you go to your start page. Pin that tab and it shrinks and becomes effectively a start page button.

@greenpalmer-0 Is there a way to go backwards?

RE: [Compilation]Discussions About Missing Speed Dial/Home Page Button In Opera OneAppearance
I'm sure this has been discussed, but I can't find a current thread...
My browser just automagically updated, and when the browser restarted, my speed dial button is missing from the address bar. I can't find a simple (SIMPLE) way to access my speed dial page. I can go to Sidebar Setup and scroll down to speed dial to open it, but that's obviously a pain. What gives?

RE: Copy speed dials between devicesOpera for Windows
@leocg I wish it was that easy. There's no way to copy them. Right clicking only offers edit bookmark, move to trash, open in new tab, new window, private window and workspace. No copy...

Copy speed dials between devicesOpera for Windows
For the love of all that's holy, has anyone come up with an Easy way to Copy speed dials from one machine to another. Ultimately, I want every computer I use to have the same ones. I get some people don't; I do.
When I open my bookmarks (image attached) I see computers that don't exist under speed dials. This list exists, I believe, as a result of syncing.!!
Thinkpad is the set of dials I want. I recently had to restore my Thinkpad, so when I downloaded and installed Opera, another computer was created.
All I want to do is copy the Thinkpad speed dials to other computers. I've used FVD Speed Dials in Chrome for years, which allow for doing this. But it's not available in Chrome, and I'm trying to run as lean as I can.

Speed Dial Sync yet?Opera for computers
Has anyone found a way to sync/share speed dials across multiple computers?
While I don't understand it at all, I do get that some people want different speed dials for different computers. Everyone wants something.
I want the same speed dials on every installation of Opera I use (2 laptops, 1 desktop, ipad, macbook and phone). I'd think it would literally be a checkbox somewhere in settings.
Or is there an add-in/extension that would accomplish this?
