Hi @byter86, you can see which tab uses how much memory by using Opera's internal task manager. To do this, click View -> Show Developer Menu in the menu first, and then use Developer -> Task Manager. Perhaps you'll see there's a certain site that makes Opera use a lot of memory.
If you want a workaround to free some memory, restarting the browser will keep your open tabs, but it will only load the 10 most recently used ones immediately.
