I got Opera working today. This may have worked: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1140218 deleting Opera installation files. I then downloaded this Opera version, Opera for Windows. And now everything works OK, even the tabs aren't changing color when downloading. But not sure if it was deleting the Installation files that worked, or maybe it was downloading a different Opera browser (not sure if it is the same one that wasn't working). In any case, so far so good. Thanks for your help

RE: [Solved]Taskbar tabs change color when downloadingOpera for Windows
@nvmjustagirl the switch didn't work, nor did turning off Webroot and Windows Defender. I really appreciate you trying to help me with this

@nvmjustagirl OK, how do I use this switch -- never did this before. Where do you paste this command?

RE: [Solved]Taskbar tabs change color when downloadingOpera for Windows
@nvmjustagirl I use Webroot Secure Anywhere, also Windows Defender. BTW, Opera stopped working for me after a brief power outage. What was strange was that my laptop, which was plugged in, turned off during this outage. It shouldn't have shut down, and it doesn't normally during outages, as it would run on its battery. So there must have been a power surge or something to make my laptop turn off. When I turned it on again, Opera didn't work, nor still doesn't even after I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Every other app on my laptop works fine, as far as I can tell. I just tried opening Opera again, and got that "the application was unable to start correctly 0xc0000022" message

@nvmjustagirl Thanks for trying. Looks like I am using Chrome, as least until I can get this fixed

RE: [Solved]Taskbar tabs change color when downloadingOpera for Windows
Yes, I am enjoying Messiah. I do get the security tab when I click on properties on Opera Icon on my Desktop. But I added Administrator there, but still no luck -- Opera won't open

RE: [Solved]Taskbar tabs change color when downloadingOpera for Windows
@nvmjustagirl Sorry, I don't understand. No matter where I right click, then click properties, there is no security tab. Looks just like the screen shot I sent -- Event, Process, Stack. No Security tab

RE: [Solved]Taskbar tabs change color when downloadingOpera for Windows
@nvmjustagirl I still don't see a Security tab -- see screen shot

RE: [Solved]Taskbar tabs change color when downloadingOpera for Windows
@nvmjustagirl I downloaded and ran Process Monitor, and noted many Access Denied items. I clicked on properties -- but there was no Security tab, as stated in the directions. So I don't know what to do next. I also ran Windows troubleshooting, but that didn't fix anything. I always use my computer as Administrator. Any other ideas? Every other app and program on my computer iw working fine

RE: [Solved]Taskbar tabs change color when downloadingOpera for Windows
@bsatz Now I have a much more serious problem with Opera. I keep getting "the application was unable to start correctly 0xc0000022" I have uninstalled and installed Opera several times, but keep on getting this error. On Google search I found that I should repair "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package", which I did for 4 of them on my computer. Any other ideas? I am now running Chrome, but want to get back to Opera

RE: [Solved]Taskbar tabs change color when downloadingOpera for Windows
@leocg Nope, none with errors. Still happening -- is this occurring to anybody else? Maybe I have to re-install Opera

RE: [Solved]Taskbar tabs change color when downloadingOpera for Windows
@leocg The tabs are red, and stays red after downloading is finished. This is only for Opera tabs, not for other apps tabs. See screenshot
-
RE: [Solved]Taskbar tabs change color when downloadingOpera for Windows
@leocg The issue for me is that the tab colors don't change back to the original color after the download is complete. I have to close the tabs, and open new ones, to get the original color back

Redirect VirusOpera for Android
I have a redirect virus when using Opera that won't go away. When it pops I can't leave the page. I've tried numerous anti virus and malware programs like Malware Bytes, and none remove this issue. I've tried hard factory reset, very painful, but the virus is still there. I would like to post a screenshot here, but don't know how to do this. Help!
