@PS999 Honestly, this is so confusing and unreliable that now I have installed Microsoft Edge to get Bing searches. I have loved Opera for maybe 50 years, and I hope that they will straighten this out. It seems like being bullied into Google, when, frankly, Bing is often a better factual resource.

@leocg OK, I see. If I only search from the address bar, I'll get Bing. Thanks alot!

@leocg What does this setting do which is worded as follows?? Search engines
To use a search engine other than the default, type its shortcut in the address bar followed by your preferred keyboard shortcut. You can also change your default search engine here. -
RE: [Duplicated]Searches using wrong search engineOpera for Windows
@bkelloggsr The reason for my question is that Bing is selected as default and designated as the default, and yet my start page has the Google G "G" (no box, however) and functions as a google search engine. I want to set my Opera One up with Bing all of the time as the search engine. Can you help me? Thank you

RE: WeatherOpera add-ons
@silverfox66 - I remember feeling the same way when I first started using computers. It took some time for me to figure it out, so you're not alone in this. Tim has been patient and responsive; a great teacher who is really interested in this stuff..

RE: WeatherOpera add-ons
I love it on Opera; accessible, accurate temperature and feels like, wind speed and direction, humidity, cloud cover, dew point, visibility, pressure (in inches), precipitation intensity, UV index, Celsius, sunrise and sunset all in a glance. Projected temperatures and likely precipitation are displayed hourly and for the coming week. See Opera add-ons for a more complete list. What else could anyone want? Pensive quotations and sayings? Tim Leland is responsive, courteous and helpful. Thank you, Tim!

@popipacusas Thank You For That! I will remember to check the National Weather Service, which is an agency in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). NOAA itself is part of the Department of Commerce, a branch of the USA federal government.

@raddy - I must say, my wife and I prefer it to all of the other six weather apps we have accumulated. We check it daily and find it to be the most reliable and valid one. Tim Leland administers the function and he has regularly been responsive, courteous and pleasant to us.

Speaking as a long time champion of Opera, this is a divisive condescension. Ideology and blandishment to often prevail over merit and abilities. And it is being undertaken for the sake of a radical egalitarianism in which all are included, all are equal, all are special. Let's commend effort and accomplishment as examples for our children. Thank you, Opera, for the years of excellence..
