I discovered the crashes were being caused by UBlock Origin extennsion. Does the developer of the plugin need to fix it or what can be done?

I did all I can do, there is literally nothing else I can do. My Opera updated last night to this newest version, hence the crashes. Opera starts up, loads, then crashes and starts up again with "Opera has crashed." As of right now, I have somehow managed to get Opera to work. I think because all the extensions were disabled.
This needs to be fixed asap! I need Opera for some of the stuff I work on. How can I fix this or revert back so Opera loads?
I was able to see into my extentions bar and all of them are disabled. I have no idea what is causing the crashes though.
What's your version of Opera?
The latest, 30.0.1835.125.
Yesterday morning when I went to check Youtube in Opera, I noticed instead of the usual HTML 5 player, it told me I needed to update flash player. So, I uninstalled flash, and reinstalled it.
Videos now play in Opera, HOWEVER, the video is really choppy and laggy. On Youtube, it shows me the flash player video, NOT the HTML5 player. Everything was fine UNTIL the recent windows update.
This is just an Opera issue. FireFox and IE play videos just fine.
NPAPI
Try installing the ppapi one.
How do you do that? I wasn't even aware there were two different ones.
Uh, what is PPAI/NPAPI?
New and old plugin architecture. You can check which one you have by going to opera:plugins and clicking on "show details".
NPAPI.
Under Adobe Flash Player, Shockwave Flash 17.0 r0
PPAPI ou NPAPI? Also, which version of Opera?
Uh, what is PPAI/NPAPI? Opera version 28.0.1750.51, up to date according to Opera.
Those sound like extensions. Flash would be listed as a plugin, which is on a different page. Make sure you type opera://plugins/ in your address bar.
Oh, I wasn't even aware that was a page. Under Adobe Flash Player, Shockwave Flash 17.0 r0
Open up your plugins page (opera://plugins/) and find flash. Please tell us the version number and the type (PPAPI or NPAPI).
The only plugins that show in Opera are BetterTTV and Adblock Plus.
Okay. Try clearing your browsing data (Ctrl+Shift+Del) and see if that helps. Its gotta be a problem with something on your end as Twitch works fine here.
Still didn't work. Just says "failed to load flash".
It could be an extension. It might also be your cookies. Does the site work if you go to it in a private window?
No it does not.
Hello,
Recently, I reinstalled flash to fix a separate issue. Now, for whatever reason, Twitch refuses to work in Opera. It tells me flash refused to load and to contact Twitch. Well, I emailed them weeks ago and got nothing.
I can watch videos from various sites, and even other live stream sites such as Ustream without issue. It's only Twitch. Twitch works fine in FireFox. What could be the isuse?
Hello,
I've been using the same version of Opera for several months, and never updated to the newer versions (thankfully). However, upon reading some about the newest version, I downloaded it, and was very disappointed, so I removed it and downloaded an older version. For the past few days, Opera tells me there is no flash player installed, which is false. I've tried in IE and Chrome (Chrome does have its own flash player plugin, so not much of a help, mind you), and I can view these videos just fine in IE, which is an Opera issue. Is it because I'm using an older model of Opera? If so, that is such bullshit. The new Opera is absolutely horrid.
[Edit] After uninstalled and reinstalling flash player it works now.
I've been using the same version of Opera for a few months now, and now that I've upgraded..I'm really confused and frustrated. I can't figure out how to open speed dial, I can't figure out how to view my book marks, and I can't seem to group tabs anymore. Can someone please help me?
