When I access a Zoom conference via the Zoom website, Opera starts using a ton of RAM and CPU, even driving my Windows desktop up to 100% CPU. When using that feature of Zoom, I have to use Vivaldi instead, since it doesn't have that issue.

I know you are saying, why not just use the Zoom program instead? Well, I'm mainly just watching the particular conference, not participating in it, and I like to cast it to the big TV in the room. Can't cast to the TV/Nvidia Shield from Zoom, but I can from a Chromium based browser.

Anyone else getting an instant page crash on Twitch.tv? Started with the new version.

First thing I did with the new update was to go into "Experiments" and turn off "Web Platform Controls Dark Mode". Even though I have the browser set to Dark Mode, I don't necessarily want ALL websites in dark mode.

@thortik: I agree. The button just takes up extra space.

@thortik To remove the button, go into chrome://flags and Disable "Extensions Toolbar Menu". To turn off "Frequently visited sites" in the address bar, I went into Settings/Advanced/User interface and turned off "Show enhanced address bar".

First thing I did in this new release was to go into Experiments and Disable "Extensions Toolbar Menu". Don't need more clutter in the UI. Bad enough can't turn off that "Easy Setup" button, which just takes up space.

Something I've noticed in all current versions of Opera. The picture-in-picture feature no longer works on Facebook videos (live or not). The picture-in-picture function in Firefox works on Facebook.

@burnout426 Haven't seen a crash ID.

@burnout426 I tried removing and re-adding the extension, then uninstalling and re-installing Opera Beta, didn't get the crash at first, but tried saving a photo a second time, got the crash again. Still no crash saving a photo with extension disabled. I'm just at a loss.

@burnout426: Think I've narrowed it down to the "History Disabler" extension ( https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/history-disabler/ ). I've used the extension for ages, but it didn't cause any crashes before the latest Beta update.

In the latest Opera Beta, Version:68.0.3618.5, in Windows 10 64x, the extension crashes the browser every time I try to save a photo from any website. Browser doesn't crash when extension is disabled.

In this Beta, when I right click to save an image on any web page, the browser crashes and restarts. Latest Windows 10.

@andrew84: Same here. Updated, and now this beta won't even launch.

@burnout426 Surprisingly, shortly after I complained to Fark about it, the buttons started functioning normally again the next day in 67.0.3575.28 beta. Didn't change ANYTHING on my end. I'm assuming they did some kind of tweak on their end.

@burnout426 Yes, apparently you have to be logged in to see them. This was the first time in YEARS I logged out to test that. Anyway, I circled where they are located below. Not sure what "broke" them in the latest beta. As I mentioned. they functioned properly up until the latest update.

After this update, the "Smart" and "Funny" icons above the comments on Fark.com are no longer clickable. They worked fine prior to this update, and they still work fine in other browsers.

The "History Disabler" extension from the Google Chrome extension store was working fine up until the most recent beta of Opera . Now, when I right-click, "Save Image As", as soon as the download is finished, the browser crashes.

Will there ever be a fix in Opera for videos on CBS.com? That is the only website I seem to have issues with. Try to watch a video, I get "Oops, this video is not supported on your web browser. To continue streaming, we recommend using the latest version of Chrome or Firefox." I get the same message when trying to spoof the user agent also. The site works fine in Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.

@leocg Thanks for the suggestions. I just went ahead and completely uninstalled, reinstalled, and re-added my extensions. The comment field is now back, for now at least.

Opera works great for me in all respects but one, and that is leaving comments on YouTube videos. The field to type a comment doesn't show in any current version of Opera. I CAN, however, "Reply" to comments others have left. I have searched the forums, tried everything suggested in the posts, like allowing third party cookies, but nothing works. I have to start another browser to leave comments on videos.

Opera is the ONLY browser with this issue. The comment field shows fine in all the others. I have basically the same add-ons in all my browsers (Edge, the new Chromium Edge, Firefox, Google Chrome, and Brave), and even with them disabled in Opera, the problem persists.
