separate options for cache and cookies ?Opera for Android
I think going back these used to be separate but don't quote me on that.
sometimes it would be nice to be able to clear the browsing without that meaning having to log into dozens mof sites again.anyone with me on this ?

RE: Apk corrupt?Opera for Android
exactly, that's not a playstore download, if you tried more than once and gotten the same message it's probably a good thing as it might be a badly altered file.

RE: Cookie warningsOpera for Android
@leocg I use operas adblocker AND adaway (which regularly updates host files for spamming pop ups and tabs) and still get those ads that use Javascript (I'm guessing) to keep the page open and sometimes requires a confirmation being ticked before you can even dismiss the tab completely. I think disabling that part of Javascript if that's possible would be a good thing. I've rarely seen it used for a genuine reason by a site.
you still will get these messages regardless of the number of times you've clicked on do not show again. -
RE: Full screen does not hide status barOpera for Android
if you're on a newer version of android you should be able to use the expanded desktop feature on a per app basis. check in settings / display / expanded desktop to see if you can choose. otherwise you'll have to toggle it on and off as needed.

RE: [Marshmallow] [GS5] O freezing after downloading to SDOpera for Android
I can confirm the above, after every download opera hangs and becomes unresponsive. eventually an ANR notice pops up so you can close the app. this only just started happening with the last playstore update. I have a HTC one m8 on google play edition marshmallow.

RE: Android notificationsOpera for Android
I keep getting an option at the bottom of the screen after typing into a text field offering me the option to search for the terms I've just typed. I want this gone but there's on option in settings for it.

RE: Unable to download filesOpera for Android
with marshmallow's permissions opera for Android is intended to be able to write to external SDcard. I have all permissions granted in settings/apps and independent of writing to the external SDcard I can type file://localhost/storage/ into the address bar and read any folder on my external SD so it looks like it's an opera side issue in not being properly updated for marshmallow as google has seen the error of it's ways since kitkat.

RE: Unable to download filesOpera for Android
the strangest thing about not being able to select folders on external SDcard for downloads is that for uploads of local files on the external SDcard there's no problem. because the documents dialogue is brought up you can select a file using in built or 3rd party means and opera will upload that file without any issues.
embarrassing !

RE: please new opera for symbian with audio and video and html pluginsOpera for Android
zero chance of opera spending time to develop a new browser for a dead platform. nobody anywhere is supporting Symbian, whatsapp are giving up dailymobile has closed so it's time to move on (not to cheap Android though)...

RE: youtube playbackOpera for Android
well most mobile sites are pretty crappy, I don't want to put up with that either or constantly switching user agent just to visit YouTube...

assuming it's one link per post, here's that second link to the original video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8LdIwpnprI&feature=youtu.be

RE: youtube playbackOpera for Android
OK so the overwhelming response suggests nobody has a clue what I'm talking about...
so with a degree of irony allow me to present a youtube video of me trying to view a youtube video via Opera for Android v30
no idea if bbcode is supported so https://youtu.be/-EUE03fH19A
and the original video itself just to exclude the notion it's related to that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8LdIwpnprI&feature=youtu.be
again this is what it's like pretty much 90% of the time thru the browser...

youtube playbackOpera for Android
for most of the last few versions of opera for Android playback of youtube videos has been terrible.
in both full screen and normal on page playback the colours in the video are only hues of bright green and pink, and they are not in scale with each other ie images in pink are much larger and therefore don't overlay correctly on the greens.
what I would prefer is a way to make opera for Android open all youtube links in the official youtube app as it did with opera mobile after flash support was dropped..
please help !!!!

RE: youtube video quality inferior to Youtube AppOpera for Android
what I would like to see is a return to what happened around jellybean time. once flash support was officially dropped clicking a youtube link would open up the youtube app to play it. at the time I hated it, but now I would like to return to that setup by any means as youtube playback thru the browser has gone backwards again. 80% of links play in washes of bright green and pink only and are entirely unwatchable if you want to follow visual details of any kind.
opera is still my only browser, I'm old skool and I'm not going to switch over this or lose sleep waiting for it to be fixed, but any help would be appreciated. -
RE: Opera mobile reloading tabs after switching tabs and appsOpera for Android
I thought it was standard that everyone had this... it not refreshing the page though, it just reloads it from cache.
