However, I would like to provide some feedback and suggestions for improvement, particularly related to the drag-and-drop behavior when managing tab groups in full view mode.

1. Drag-and-Drop Movement Speed Needs Improvement

When trying to drag a tab into an existing group (especially when the group is on the left side of the screen), it becomes difficult to position the tab correctly. Even when the destination group is nearby, the drag operation feels slow and sometimes unresponsive.

Suggestion: Implement adaptive scroll speed during drag operations. For example, when dragging a tab near the edge (left or right) of the screen, increase the scrolling speed — similar to how text selection works on long web pages in desktop browsers. The movement speed should:

Increase when the dragged tab gets closer to the edge.

Stay slow if the tab is near the center (to allow precise control). This would make it much easier to move tabs into groups located far left or right.

2. Group Tab Opens from the Wrong Side During Drag-and-Drop

Another issue is that when a user tries to drag a tab into a group, that group always opens starting from its first (left-most) tab. This becomes a problem when the group is to the left of the current tab — because it forces the user to scroll all the way back to find the right spot.

Suggestion: When a tab is being moved toward a group, that group should open starting from the side closest to the dragged tab.

For example, if the tab is dragged from the right, the group should open from its right-most tab.

This way, users can quickly and accurately drop the tab into the correct position within the group.

These small changes could significantly improve the tab management experience, especially for users who rely heavily on multitasking with many tabs. Thank you for your continued work on improving Opera!

I propose that Opera Android adopts a refined video streaming feature similar to what is observed in the YouTube mobile app. Currently, when a user switches video quality (whether moving from 240p to 144p or from 240p to 360p), buffered video data is discarded immediately. Instead, I suggest that Opera continue to use the already buffered segments until the user triggers a playback change (for example, by seeking forward or backward). At that moment, the player can seamlessly transition to fetching new segments in the selected quality.

Step-by-Step User Experience:

1. Initial Playback:

The user begins watching a video at a set quality (e.g., 240p) while buffered segments ensure uninterrupted playback.

2. Quality Change Selection:

The user selects a different video quality (either lower or higher).

Instead of immediately discarding the buffered data, the player continues playback using the existing buffer.

3. Continued Playback:

The video continues to play smoothly in the original quality, using the buffered segments.

4. Triggering the Transition:

Once the user performs an action—such as seeking to a different part of the video—the player then fetches new segments in the newly selected quality.

5. Post-Transition:

Playback resumes at the chosen quality seamlessly, reducing buffering delays and data usage.

Benefits:

Seamless Viewing: Minimizes interruptions by retaining buffered content until a natural playback cue occurs.

Data Efficiency: Prevents unnecessary rebuffering, which conserves mobile data.

I have encountered an issue with the video quality selection in the Opera Android and Opera Beta apps when playing YouTube videos. When a video provides only two quality options—for example, 144p and 360p—only one option (360p) is shown. In contrast, if a video provides three quality options (such as 144p, 240p, and 360p), all options appear correctly.

3. Open the video quality settings and observe that only one option (360p) is available.

Expected Behavior:

The app should display all available video quality options (e.g., both 144p and 360p) as seen in other applications like the YouTube Android app, NewPipe, and Chrome.

Additional Notes:

The issue appears to have surfaced in the last few updates.

This behavior is observed with videos that offer only two quality options (144p and 360p).

Note: Although not confirmed with a concrete example, a similar issue might also occur for videos offering only two options such as 144p and 240p.

Videos with three available options (e.g., 144p, 240p, and 360p) do not exhibit this problem.

Issue Description:

I am experiencing a fullscreen display issue when using the Opera browser on my Android device. Whenever I try to enter fullscreen mode (whether for YouTube videos or general browsing), only half of the screen is visible, while the other half remains black or shows part of another screen.

This issue occurs even when:

Auto-rotate is enabled, and I try using Opera in landscape mode.

I enter fullscreen on different websites, not just YouTube.

The browser is updated to the latest version from the Play Store.

Other browsers (like Chrome, Edge, Brave) do not have this problem.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open Opera on an Android phone.

2. Play a video on YouTube or enter fullscreen mode on any website.

3. Rotate the phone to landscape mode (if needed).

4. Observe that only half of the screen is displayed, while the other half is either black or stuck.

Troubleshooting Attempts:

I have already tried the following, but the issue persists:

Force stopping and restarting Opera.

Clearing cache and data.

Reinstalling Opera.

Trying different display settings (scaling, auto-rotate, etc.).

Disabling Hardware Acceleration in opera://flags.

Back , forward, home, minimise, option(settings).

This minimise button if you press for 2 sec you get option as follows

New tab
New private tab
Duplicate tab
Recent close tab
Close tab

you can check that on google search that too.
Also that duplicate tab completely copy that tab into similar tab in right side of that.
I regularly user of opera Android and mostly use this feature.

Steps to Reproduce the Issue:

1. Open Opera for Android.

2. Go to YouTube (just the homepage, without playing a video). (By searching on Google)

3. Open any video manually and let it play.

4. Open a duplicate tab of the video (using the duplicate tab option).

5. Close the duplicate tab instead of deleting it. (The issue remains when we duplicate can not deleted the tab)

6. Leave the original YouTube tab open and switch to another app and minimize Opera (or close opera try both)

7. Return to Opera after some time (a few minutes or hours).(Here i am not sure that how much time is to take to get this issue)

8. The YouTube tab has now automatically redirected to this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=maGKzRACwco.

Additional Notes:

The issue occurs only when closing the duplicate tab instead of deleting it.

Since deleting the duplicate tab completely stops the issue, it suggests a bug related to tab management (possibly involving duplicate tabs, back button behavior, or session restoration).

This happens multiple times a day under normal usage conditions.

Clearing cache/data and updating Opera does not fix the issue.

No browser extensions are involved.
