How can I stop it please?
Opera suddenly won't connect to localhost. Windows 10, Wampserver 3.1.7 64bit. All four other browsers connect perfectly - Chrome; Firefox; MS Edge and even IE!
Opera was working ok but, for no apparent reason has stopped connecting localhost. No problems with remote web sites.
Help please?
@thomasmca
You'll notice that my original post said that all other browsers were connecting normally. I don't know why but after re-installing Opera all was well.
#sgunhouse suggested the possible use of a VPN but that was not the case.
@aam2018 TVM. That was already switched off - however, it seems to have stopped appearing now

@mike93ws no solution but it seems to have cleared itself after 24 hrs.
My Opera version is fully up to date as is my Windows 10 Pro.
All other pages connect ok but I get this error page when trying to connect to Amazon UK.

This is a recent phenomenon (a few days) and all my other 4 browsers connect instantly. I've been through all the checks listed in the posting advice.

@leocg
Did a complete uninstall including my data. Re-installed and, yet again, the problem remains!
@sgunhouse Thank you very much - I was totally unaware of that. I'll give it a go.
Just installed portable version and it works fine. Many thanks!
Still cannot understand why it's stopped working in my standard installation?
Can I import all my Speed Dial settings?
@sgunhouse Confusion has arisen because @burnout426 suggested installing the portable version which I assumed referred to a version for mobile phones and notepads.
I don't know why anyone would want a "portable" version on a desktop.
To be clear I'm having the problem on a desktop running Windows 10 (fully updated) with Wampserver set up as my localhost server. I've uninstalled Opera completely, including my data, then downloaded a fresh copy and installed it. The problem persists.
@burnout426 Sorry, when you said portable version I assumed you meant for a smart phone or tablet. What is the portable version and why would you need it on a desktop?
@burnout426 Surely, I'd need Wampserver or similar on my mobile in order to set up a localhost server?
