@telegramsam I think it's part of the Forever War between YouTube and Opera's adblocker.

RE: YouTube doesn't work anymore.Opera GX
@andrew84 That could be. It could explain why the problem I had literally came on overnight, and maybe even why it was so weirdly specific. (Videos would play unless I was trying to play them in a youtube.com tab that saw me as signed in.) It could also explain why they are working again, as of now. (I'm 6 hours behind CEST, if that matters.)
Anyway, "try to update the adblock lists" and/or "wait for an update to the adblock lists" may be something to put on the list of things to try when something like this happens.

@genegold Try Settings > Privacy & security > Third-party cookies. One of the options under Third-party cookies should be "See all site data and permissions". Clicking on that should give you the list of sites.

RE: Opera for Android 91Opera for Android
I went ahead and got the update from opera.com. Tried out media background play with YouTube and audio not only kept playing when the tab was in the background, but when Opera itself was in the background.

RE: Opera updates with a redesigned History, new Themes, and an experimental featureBlogs
One thing I've noticed in both the sidebar view and full view is that history from today (Wednesday September 17, -0400) is shown with the label "Yesterday - Tuesday 16, 2025". The history is accurate, it's just shown as being from the day before it was actually from. Far more annoying, at least to me as someone who prefers using the sidebar view, is that the sidebar view has stopped showing the title of the page, and only shows the domain. Since this is useless when trying to find a specific page when there are several pages from the same domain, which can and does happen when I've opened several tabs for a site, it makes the sidebar's History view largely useless to me.

@andrew84 Disabling the #history-redesign flag does make a difference. It also clears up the issue of history from any given day being shown with the previous day's date. That was more irritating than anything else, and I'd adjusted to it, but it's nice to know that it was due to the redesign.

RE: Can't use volume booster on vertical tbsGeneral
@bhajyna
I prefer the horizontal bar, so I didn't notice this until your post prompted me to check. I also didn't notice the blog post on how vertical tabs work, which says that the "Tab tooltip" isn't available in vertical tabs, so features which depend on it, such as the volume booster, can't be used in the vertical layout.ETA: However, volume booster levels set in the horizontal bar appear to "stick" after switching to the vertical bar. So, while you can't use the volume booster control with vertical tabs, you may be able to use the feature if you set a tab's level in the horizontal bar.

I tried hovering on a tab playing sound in the vertical tab bar, and nothing happened. With the horizontal bar, the drop-down with the volume booster control appears normally. Is this what you're seeing?

RE: Opera updates with a redesigned History, new Themes, and an experimental featureBlogs
@andrew84 Thanks for the suggestion to expand the History sidebar to the right. Partial page titles do appear if I expand it far enough to the right, but on my laptop, that means covering the left half of the screen. For me, it's easier to keep using the full view, now that I'm used to opening it.

@abitkulova Thank you. I'm not in a great rush to update, but plan to now that I know I can.

RE: Opera for Android 91Opera for Android
@leocg said in Opera for Android 91:
@cska133 That you will need at least Android 10 to run Opera
I have Android 11 Go, and when I tap the "Update available" button in the Opera menu, I am taken to Google Play, where I am told that "This app isn't compatible with your device anymore." Since version 90 still works as it always has, which is fine for what I use it for, I'm not really upset at not being able to update to 91. However, what I'm seeing from Google Play is inconsistent with what you're saying.
BTW, I didn't know about the update until the button appeared in the menu, which happened today.
