Since updating Opera to version 84.0.4316.21 a few hours ago, I started having problems with any Google related pages. For example, with mail.google.com, all I would see was the subject line in any email. The message field was completely blank.

After trying various things, I disabled the uBlock Origin extension and that sorted things. When I enabled it again, the same problems returned.

I have now reinstalled the extension and everything seems fine. Maybe mine was just an isolated case, but I thought I would just mention in case anyone else is puzzled by similar issues since the update.

I had this problem after having to do a factory reset on my mobile due to an unrelated issue. I reinstalled Opera for Android, but Flow on the app would no longer connect with Flow on Opera 89 of my Windows desktop.

I rolled back to Opera 85. Flow then connected between both devices as normal. A few hours later I was alerted to the Opera 89 update. I installed it and the Flow connection remained in place. No further problems since.

@burnout426 Thanks burnout426. I have also been having this problem for a couple of weeks. I was about to follow your detailed instructions when I noticed your comment at the end citing security/anti-virus/firewall software as a possible issue. I had installed Malwarebytes just a couple of weeks ago. So I have just disabled it for a couple of minutes, and Opera has now updated for me. So thanks again, problem sorted, although I am now wondering what other issues Malwarebytes may be causing me !

Without any updates, My Flow seems to be working again for me.

Flow will not open for me on Windows, but works normally between Android devices.

After multiple attempts via sidebar and opera.com/connect, I have finally had success via the sidebar. Flow now working again as it should.

Unfortunately today's update to 118.0.5461.83 doesn't fix the issue for me. I still cannot connect my devices. When I use my phone to scan the QR code on my PC screen, I do now see a confirmation code on my phone, but no corresponding code or any instructions display on my PC. The QR code remains on PC screen. I have tried via both the sidebar and opera.com/connect.

Yes, but Opera say "WhatsApp web messenger is built right into the Opera desktop browser, so you can chat and browse easily without downloading anything". Now it is encouraging me to download the app. A link to Microsoft Store now also appears amongst my list of contacts,

When I open the in-built Whatsapp from the sidebar, the opening page now encourages me to download the Whatsapp app for Windows, and gives a link to the Microsoft Store. Is the in-built version coming to an end ?

@dolanito I have a feeling the autoplay issue might be specific to You Tube rather than to Opera. It is a subject which has been cropping up regularly on Google/You Tube forums for the last few years. Unfortunately discussions are usually locked without any solution being found. Those complaining about the issue are users of various browsers.
