I finally managed to connect Opera on iPhone and linux PC.
How to:
As I was desperate I even did the emergency reset of My Flow on the PC.
But I think, the reset on PC is necessary and after the unsuccessful connection the Opera must be reinstalled on iPhone.

I've noticed [1] that there should be some Workspace API available for addons/extensions. Could someone help me how to access it? I was not able to find any docs for such API.
Especially I'm interested in some listener telling me the workspace changed...

Absolutely agree. I wanted to write addon, but could not find the API for workspaces. It should be written, but there are no docs.
I can confirm this bug. Absolutely annoying.
Seems not related to any particular Opera or Android version.
Only I noticed that the empty bar appears after switching from Opera to different app and then back to Opera. I need to kill Opera and reopen to fix.
Important is the screen is not only moved up, but it's only rendered up. The action areas (links, buttons, inputs...) are working as if the page was rendered correctly.

Unfortunately I'm in the same problem. The My flow in iphone cannot connect to the browser. Neither via QR nor code. That's very depressing as there is no syncing of Opera on iphone.

System:Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS (x86_64; ubuntu:GNOME)
IPhone - iOS 15.1.1
Honestly after last totally broken Opera on linux and nonsyncing with iphone I really consider to leave Opera despite I will miss some very useful functions.
It would be great if there was some option to make "reopen closed tab" function workspace related.

Looks like pretty old, but there is still no option to simply copy the address. It's very annoying to edit the bookmark and copy the address.
