@mushin i've figured it out... It's just the way Opera handles the tabs... If you close opera from the "Close"(X) button -> all tabs are closed.
If you quit opera through Alt+F4 or CMD+Q on Mac, all tabs are stored... I can't understand who thought of that behaviour, it's really weird but it's like that.

For quite some time, me and my colleagues are a bit disappointed that Opera lacks option to "Open" file, instead of first downloading it.

This means that the file would be stored in the %Temp% folder and just executed/ opened. Once the browser is closed, the file is deleted.

Currently MS Edge and Vivaldi both have such option, which is very convenient.
We love the new Opera interface, but the lack of this feature is very disappointing.

I hope you find the time to add it.

Hey mate, for me (using Logitech G603) the back and forward keys work fine. However not in other browsers.
Generally MacOS does not understand the Mouse4 and Mouse5 keys. Thus your logitech software probably binds them to key combination such as cmd+[ . Otherwise the other browsers won't understand them. This is why I suffer with my G603. No other browser than Opera understands them, untill I map them. Which sucks because I need them for other stuff.

However, I have two user accounts on my Mac - One for Work and one Personal. In both I use Opera One with their respective separate sync accounts.
Today i've realised I was also logged-out of my work sync account, which means that the issue is not due to session expiration on my personal account most likely, but rather either the last update I made last week or something else. This is awful and happens from time to time. In my "Tabs" section I have like 40-50 times my computer and 3 times my phone. This is insane and very unreliable, e.g. you go to a store or somewhere, you need to open something from Flow or the synced tabs and suddenly you realise it's not working.

This is long-standing issue with Opera... I've encountered it few times on Mac...
Only workaround is to manually download the installer, fully exit opera (no background processes) and then run it. Once i reinstalls opera, you should be fine for some time.
One time even the installer was failing (even after restart), so I've just wiped opera and ran the installer again. It was painful.

@leocg thanks for the nudge that it is known. I've been going back and forth between Opera and Firefox because of that when i get frustated. I didn't found anything specific regarding this, at least not something new (after 2019), so i've decided to post it.

For some reason my Macbook appears 21 times under my "tab syncing" and my android phone appears 2 times. I've already re-logged myself few months ago due to the same and I was also suffering a lot from delayed syncing of tabs, which was really frustrating.
Now sometimes I see my tabs almost immediately, sometimes I don't... And for some reason my computer appears as having 21 sessions. Maybe new session appears after each update?
It's weird and frustrating.

@thewinger Opera is one of the few browsers with proper touchbar support, but unfortunately still lacks the media controls integration. Please guys, add this.
