Been having the same problem for as long as I can remember now - several months if not longer than a year!
Updates all done automatically so constantly up to date versions. Fortunately mine have never become stuck and a simple page refresh puts them back to the correct colours for me.
It wouldn't be so bad bit the colours it throws up are really offensive to the eye!

I've learned a lot while getting annoyed at the sidebar change in the latest update. The best thing I learned was how to revert to version 58 which I liked! Simple and it works perfectly - https://forums.opera.com/topic/31873/solved-how-to-revert-to-opera-58/4

Spoke too soon.........Opera updated today and now I have exactly the same problem. It's so offensive to my eyes that I may go back to Firefox!

How are we supposed to let the developers know about user frustrations if not on these forums? In my view they are an excellent place for discussion and I'm sure that's why they were created. If the team are working on (in your view) 'more serious issues' then I'm sure they would appreciate knowing about other linked problems so they can be considered at the same time. Makes sense to me.

I get totally random error messages on this site - and it is only on this site using Opera. This site works fine using other browsers. The error page only flashes up for a second or two so it's not the end of the world, but clearly annoying and not correct. It happens when clicking on a news item but there is no pattern to it. It doesn't happen on every item or even on the same item if you try again later!

It first started immediately after the latest update - Version:88.0.4412.53

Everything else works absolutely fine so I'm reluctant to make any changes to test it as I'm not a computer genius!

I'm also having difficulty uploading the screen shot of the problem. The error message that flashes up states the web page cannot be reached it might be temporarily down or have moved to a new web address ERR_FAILED.

Thanks for any ideas!

@concretable You may have another issue there. The bookmark heart symbol has always worked fine for me and still does.

Well done Opera for ruining the look of my browser!

The sidebar now has to be either on or off permanently when I just liked it where it was perfectly positioned on my speed dial and the new enforced colour changes are awful to my eyes. Since you don't have the decency to let us change these 'updates' you've introduced I'm going to have to return to Firefox.
