@lindencoll Thanks so much ! I use AHK quite a lot and hadn't thought about this type of solution.
I will get on to this right away !
Many thanks.

I'm just coming back to Opera from Vivaldi and the one thing that I am missing is the ability to drag a link a short distance in any direction and have it open in a new tab. I know that if I turn on Mouse Gestures, I can do this with the right mouse button, but after years of being able to do this with the left mouse button, changing to the right button is proving a bit of a struggle.
I have tried a number of Opera and Chrome extensions (V7, Dragit, CRX Mouse Gestures and many more), but none of the seem to work. All it seems to do when I left click on the link and drag it to the right it just highlights the text. If I click on the link and drag it up or down it gives me that "invalid" symbol.
Has anyone actually been able to get this to work in Opera without having to use the right mouse button ?
Many thanks in advance for any suggestions !
I've found a workaround to bookmarks getting saved to the bottom of the list, but it's not great - I drag the icon from the address bar on to the bookmarks bar and drop it where I want within any folder. It's a bit more fiddly than "Add bookmark here" is on Firefox, but at least it works. If anyone knows a way to default saving bookmarks to the top of a folder, then I'd love to hear it.
I'm also still looking for a way to format the active tab, so again - any help there ??
@burnout426 - Thanks so much for your help. It looks like Classic Tabs is exactly what I'm looking for re: focusing on last active tab when closing another tab. Have added this and first impressions look very good !
Re: Tab grouping - I've looked at all these solutions before and, sadly, none of them do what I want. I'm looking for something where I can manually group tabs based on what I'm doing rather than an automated solution based simply on domains. I'm kind of getting by with v7Tabs, but it's a bit fiddly.
One last thing (maybe I should start another thread rather than cluttering up this existing one?) - I use the Bookmarks Toolbar a lot with folders and simple shortcuts. When I save a new bookmark to a folder on the bookmarks toolbar, it always drops it at the very bottom of the list. Is there any way to get Opera to add it to the top of the list - i.e. the most recent bookmarks are where you need them without having to scroll to the bottom of the list ?
Many thanks again for your help !
I'm just trying out Opera having been a die-hard Firefox fan for a number of years, now. I have a few things I'm trying to replicate in Opera, but am struggling.
Is there a way (either via settings or add-on) to make Opera focus on the last-used tab when closing a tab ? I've tried using FLST add-on from Chrome Store (with Download Chrome Extension installed), but that just seems to work by pressing the button to cycle through tabs. I'm looking for something that automatically goes to the last used tab when you close another tab.
I used to use Tab Groups and Tab Groups Helper extensions in Firefox that allows you to group your tabs manually and provides a toolbar to show your tab groups. I know that Vivaldi lets you 'stack' your tabs, but that's not quite the same thing. Is there anything for Opera (or Chrome) that allows you to group your tabs ?
On Firefox there is a fabulous add-on called Tab Mix Plus that allows you to do a ton of things with your tabs and tab bar. Whilst I've found workarounds for most of the things it can do, and also Opera also does some of those things natively, there is one thing I still would like to do - I would like to be able to modify the look of the 'active' tab. Using TMP in Firefox, I could change the font colour to red and bold the font - this really makes it stand out. Is there a way to do this in Opera (again, either via settings or add-on) ?
I'm loving what I'm seeing so far, but would be great to get these niggles sorted out !
Many thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.
