I am a long-time Opera user and I would like to suggest a feature that could make Opera Android one of the most accessible and innovative mobile browsers:
A native "Read Aloud" function for web pages.
The idea is simple:
When a user opens an article or a webpage, Opera could provide a button that reads the page aloud using a natural voice.
Why this feature would be valuable
Many users would benefit from this:
- People who have reading difficulties.
- People who experience eye fatigue.
- Students who want to review educational content.
- Users who want to consume information while walking, travelling, exercising, or doing other activities.
- Anyone who prefers listening instead of reading long articles.
The web is becoming increasingly rich in information, but reading everything on a small screen is not always practical.

Start readingThe feature could include:
- Natural voices.
- Speed adjustment.
- Multiple languages.
- Pause and resume.
- Background playback.
- Highlighting the sentence being read.

Why Opera is the right browser for this
