      Hi there,
I've used Opera One for a lot of years, yet I've recently created this account to address an issue that occurred last week with the Discord Quest for Opera GX.
After I was done using Opera GX for the quest, I wanted to uninstall it and go back to only having Opera One.
I uninstalled Opera GX using Revo Uninstaller, as I do for all the stuff i want to uninstall.

Unfortunately, because Opera GX and Opera One share some files, folders and/or registry keys (at least, that's what i think that caused the problem), everything i had saved on my Opera One (bookmarks, history, settings, opened tabs, passwords) was gone.
Luckily, Revo puts all the things it deletes in the bin folder, so I was able to restore most of the things i had, except for opened tabs. I admit that I wasn't careful when choosing which folders to delete, but I also thought that the two Operas were two completely different and unlinked softwares.
I enabled the option "keep tabs from previous session" when opening Opera long ago and it worked fine for all this time, but probably the file that kept all the previous tabs was deleted too.

Here's what i tried to do for the past week:

      • I restored windows to the point before Opera GX was uninstalled by using rstrui, but the previous opened tabs were nowhere to be found.
      • I looked at the documentation and it talks about a file called "Current Session" that contains all the opened tabs, but, even now that i'm writing this post on Opera One, there's no file called "Current Session" in both C:\Users[USER]\AppData\Local\Opera Software\Opera Stable\Default nor C:\Users[USER]\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable\Default (when i installed opera one i kept the default paths).
      • After trying to restore windows, i backed 3+ (before deleting opera gx, some days before even starting the Discord quest, after deleting Opera GX, and more) past versions of some folders and files:
-- Sessions, which contains some files called Session_[timestamp, i think] and Tabs_[timestamp, i think]
        -- Opera Stable
-- Default, which contains the folders Cache and System Cache
        -- Some .ldb files

I'd like to know if there's some way to restore my old opened tabs, maybe by using these files i recovered thanks to the folder and files history function on Windows.
NOTE: since i didn't load every single tab by interacting with them every day, looking for each of them in the history would be very very tedious

My version of Windows is 25H2
My current version of Opera is 127.0.5778.76

      Thank you.

@Doubtiscious Opera One and Opera GX don't share files and folders by default.

They could share the installation directory if you have chosen to use the same installation directory for both.

@leocg I left the default installation path for both of them.

While Opera is closed, delete everything in the "Sessions" folder in "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable\Default". Then, copy the Session_xxx file with the oldest timestamp and the Tabs_xxx file with the oldest timestamp from a backup "Sessions" folder (like the one Revo has in its bin) to the now-empty "Sessions" folder.

@burnout426 you were right, i don't know why i didn't think of that.
I matched the correct timestamps, and it worked.
              Thank you.
