So I opened Opera today to find extensions and speed dial bookmarks gone.
Not only the extensions, but their data as well. One of the extensions dealt with workspace sessions, so they're all gone. And if that's not bad enough, all my speed dial bookmarks are gone, replaced with generic rubbish.
I remember when browser devs started to push for speed dial bookmarks. I can't believe they made it this easy for them to disappear.
There was no update, there was no crash. I closed opera last night fine, opened it today to this disaster. Going to take me a long time to get everything back, and what if it happens again?
At least I still have all my original bookmarks.

It just happened again. Opened up Opera to find all my extensions and speed dial bookmarks gone. There has been no updates, the version number is the same.

Ok, so I found my speed dial bookmarks. I don't use the browser's "Bookmarks" page, I have an extension that I prefer to use, but with it currently gone I found that bookmarks also lists the speed dial.
Now, my speed dial bookmarks all got moved to a folder named after my PC. Because this happened twice, I have two folders.
Not only were they being moved and the default "sponsored" bookmarks put in their place, but the setting to show "suggestions" was enabled, twice.
Very weird.
